I had lovely stay at Rock Hill BNB. The place was quiet and scenic. Close to town but felt like you were deep in the countryside. My hosts John and Julie were very welcoming. Would strongly recommend.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at Rock Hill despite the poor weather and tiring morning trip to Whakapapa. Julie is an exceptional and thoughtful host. We arrived to a lit fireplace and were surprised with delicious treats. These reviews saying everything was of quality were on point. Peaceful place, comfy bed, fast wifi... If I ever have to choose between a hotel and this place, I would still choose this. Thank you!

We stayed here for a night on a recent road trip around the North Island. Prior communication with Julie was top-notch. Given it was mid-winter she arranged to have the fire lit before our arrival and we stepped into a warm and cosy apartment. The place was perfectly clean and furnished to a very high standard, with everything you could need for a short stay including a super-comfortable bed and a decent shower. We arrived to find an amazing breakfast spread of farm fresh milk and eggs, toast, yoghurt, fresh orange juice, fruit as well as home baked cookies, coffee and tea. The farm is located in a beautiful area with stunning views across the valley. All in all, a superb experience, would highly recommend and we hope to return someday!

Response from Julie:
Thank you Duncan for the wonderful feedback. I'm sorry I didn't get to meet you both, but I truly appreciated what model guests you were. Look forward to seeing you next time, if and when you do return someday.

Both Julie and John were very hospitable, even offering us a ride to the wedding venue! Such a beautiful room with absolutely everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely, and the pool came in very handy with the hot weather. Very close to town, about a 5min drive. We loved our stay there, we would stay again and would fully recommend their place to others. P.s the afghan biscuits were yummy! Thankyou!

'We stayed at Rock Hill Bed & Breakfast on our way from Waitomo Caves-Tongariro NP. When we arrived (albeit a little late in the evening) Julie was there to greet us, had the heater going and a bottle of bubbly on ice for us (we were on our honeymoon!!). The accommodation was beautiful and the bed super comfy. Julie provided a scrumptious continental breakfast and I certainly cannot forget to mention the delicious ANZAC biscuits. Fortunately the weather was also warm enough for us to sit out by the pool and enjoy breakfast/dinner looking out over the property. There are plenty of lovely walks to do in the area and a trip out to Lauren's Lavender Farm for delicious scones and coffee is a must! Hopefully we'll be back to stay and drive the Forgotten World Hwy! One of the top places we stayed while we were away and highly recommended!'
Kind regards,
Tara & Shane
