The space
Interior of House:
First Floor:
-The living room is a welcoming area for gathering, relaxing, and socializing with family and friends. There are a number of games and puzzles available for use, ideal for snowy days or evenings in. During the day, the inside of the house is beautifully lit with natural sunlight through the cathedral windows. The pine walls create an “Up-North” coziness, especially as you are winding down in the evenings.

-The kitchen is adjacent to the living room. While we love so many of the restaurants in the area, sometimes a home cooked meal is in order. The kitchen is well stocked and ready for you to prepare delicious meals. Please, be our guest! The dining room table is located between the living room and kitchen and there are six dining chairs available for use.

-First floor bedrooms: On the first floor you will find two bedrooms - one has a Queen bed and the other has a Full bed with a Twin loft. Both bedrooms have closets as well as black-out curtains to help you get the rest you need. If you open the curtains you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous view of the woods.

-First floor bathroom: There is a full bathroom with a stone-tiled walk-in shower on the first floor.

Second Floor:
-Upstairs you will find a loft-area with a desk and office chair overlooking the living room. If you need a place to work during your stay, this is an excellent place to do so as the view out the cathedral windows is beautiful. Internet speeds up to 300 Mbps should assist with any online tasks you may need to take care of.

-Second floor bedroom: Upstairs you'll find the third bedroom which has a Queen bed. This bedroom also has a closet and black-out curtains; if you pull the curtains to the side you’ll again be greeted by a serene view of the woods.

-Second floor bathroom: In the loft there is another full bathroom with a walk-in shower.

-The home has Central Air Conditioning and Central Heating. A gas fireplace in the living room is in service during the winter months (and makes the living area feel even more cozy!).

Exterior of house:
-As you go outside the house you’ll find a large deck which spans the front and side of the house. There’s a large patio table which provides a perfect area for relaxing, enjoying a meal straight off the charcoal grill, and sipping on a glass of local wine or beer.

-The firepit is located in the back of the yard and provides an excellent setting for enjoying quiet northern Michigan nights under the stars.

-There’s a large fenced-in yard, perfect for kids.

-The house is located in a peaceful, wooded setting less than three miles from Lake Michigan.

-Located off M-22 between Leland and Glen Arbor, you’ll find the central location of the home makes it a perfect base for visiting the Leelanau Peninsula. The home is tucked into a quiet, wooded space less than three miles from Lake Michigan, near Sugar Loaf. Within just a handful of miles you’ll find wineries, golf courses, hiking, biking, restaurants, and so much more. This makes the home a perfect place to rest after a day of exploring.

Where I went to school: Michigan State University
After studying Hospitality Business at MSU, I've spent the last 10+ years working in the hotel industry in Chicago planning events. A desire to return to our roots in MI led us to purchase our cabin in the Leelanau Peninsula. I'm so happy to share our cabin by combining my expertise of hospitality with my passion of travel. If there's any way I can help enhance your trip, please don't hesitate to ask! I hope you enjoy our cabin as much as we do!
