This place is lovely, and great for a larger group. I went with five other friends and there were sufficient space for everyone to sleep comfortably, eat together and enjoy the porch overlooking the water. Ken was very responsive and accommodating and it was situated just over an an hour's drive from New York City. It's a good destination to spend a few days away!

Great spot, amazing backyard and ping pong man cave & tree house ! Many places to sit and enjoy different environments. Walking distance to most everything. New washer/dryer combo, and great sleeping flexibility. We ate in most times but plenty of great local restaurants. Highly recommended !

Ken was great - he provided lots of information well in advance regarding directions, check in and recommendations for local restaurants etc. The home is beautiful, historic, one of the nicest on the entire lake. The rooms are large, kitchen has everything you need to make your own meals including outdoor BBQ. The back yard is wonderful for kids and dogs- huge deck with fenced yard so no one can get away or into the water unattended. There is a basketball net, volleyball/badminton net, soccer balls, ping pong etc. We loved the 2 person kayak and brought up our inflatable SUP. The lake is a large motor boat lake- we were there over July 4th when there were lots of parties on pontoon boats, lots of jetskis zipping around, but the rest of the week it was quite quiet. The home backs onto a fairly shallow and narrow northern part of the lake, a no wake zone, so a great place to paddle without waves. However, the lake bottom is muddy and it's close to a marina so wasn't our favorite part of the lake to swim in- there is a public beach a few minutes away with a sandy bottom. We loved the newly opened Mexican restaurant, Mexican zingo- excellent food, very simple decor. Overall a great vacation, so much for kids and adults to do- we would stay here again!

Not new to the area but we were back in town from Los Angeles for our daughter's wedding and needed a place to accommodate family and friends. The house was great and perfect for our needs. Ken is a good host and communicates/responds promptly. The house is roomy and opens up to the beautiful backyard and lake. The backyard deck is huge and spectacular! Not to mention the yard itself is almost the size of a football field. There are a couple of fire pits that would be fun to use on cooler nights and to keep the bugs away. The area is known for bugs so be prepared with spray if coming in the warmer months. There are umbrellas to use if needed in sunny weather. You can fish off the dock so come prepared for that as well or you can walk into town to the bait shop. Yes there were fish caught but released. The neighbor was very friendly as well and even offered use of their bicycles if we wanted! Coming from the hustle and bustle of LA, it is a much quieter and relaxing area. It is so nice to wake up to the sound of the geese, ducks and birds. As the summer months approach, the boaters increase into the night as they are heading to the one of the popular bar/restaurants nearby. On our trip, we had a couple of days when the area association had the lawn service at a few houses, including Ken's. One night across the street mowing until almost 8pm. Note these are big lawns so it takes them awhile. Normally not an issue but this was our only relaxing time so it was a bit loud. We happened to rent the house during the inaugural year of Greenwood Lake hosting the Hoboken Film Festival. They set up at the beach/park a couple of blocks away and anticipated large crowds to the area. We didn't notice much other than having to enter through a different street to access the house which was no problem at all. I think in the winter it would be stunning as well and divine to use the indoor fireplaces. He has the entertainment hooked up with our same audio system we use so it was super easy to play music. The Helm which is one of the local restaurant suggestions, did their first wedding catering job for our wedding. I can attest that the food is amazing as well as the owners and chef. Overall, our experience was good and Ken's place is highly recommended.
