James' house is lovely. Exactly as represented on the pictures. I had a great time and he gave me good advices for walks in the Wicklow. I met lovely people as some other rooms were occupied too. It is a great place to share, relax and enjoy the outside world. In Roundwood, which is the small village near the house (45min walk) there is a gret cafe that I recommend, "sugar mountain". also, I slept really well and loved waking up knowing I was gonna have a deliciously breakfast :) I would definitely go there again and recommend the place !

James met my son and I at our car and escorted us in the front door. There were a few guests sitting in the living room as we passed by to go upstairs to our room. Everything was exactly as pictured on the Airbnb site - so beautiful! We stayed in the dorm with 7 beds and were able to sleep in an alcove area that enabled us to share our electricity adapter/converter. We met the nicest people - some whom have become new friends! The food was fantastic and there was plenty of it! I especially enjoyed the sautéed tomatoes and mushrooms which went well with the scrambled eggs. James greeted us each morning with a fruit "smoothly" and there were plenty of seating options both shared and more secluded. My son enjoyed the "full Irish" breakfast and I loved the porridge, fruit and Greek yogurt. one of the surprise highlights for me was the recorded music playing in the living room. James' playlist included James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, the Beatles, and so many of my favorites from the 70's! It really added to the already wonderful atmosphere. James gave us and other guests great suggestions for spectacular places to visit and good directions on how to get there either by foot or by car. The sights to be seen nearby are truly stunning! I'm so glad I read many of the reviews before coming as so many people had said they wished they could've stayed longer. I was so glad that we were able to stay more than one night! I would highly recommend this Airbnb. It was my first experience booking through Airbnb and I was really delighted with the results! One recommendation I have is to add a footstool to the bathroom so a shorter person can look out the skylight at the beautiful countryside. Another suggestion would be to add a hook on the back of the bathroom door for clothes or towel. The two bathrooms were always clean and I only waited a short time once during our stay. My last suggestion would be that a mirror be hung in the dorm (or perhaps in each room) to enable one to use the hairdryer which was so kindly provided for guest use. James is a kind, gracious and charming host and his helpers were equally as kind and friendly. James is a renaissance man of many talents- at one point busy building a new bed to accommodate more guests. I di hope on my next visit I will have the opportunity to hear him play guitar! I heard from my new friends that I missed a truly memorable night of music. Thank you very much, James - you made us feel like family!

Definitely a highlight of my trip! First of all, it's perfectly situated for hiking tours and anyone, who needs a BnB close to the Wicklow way like I did. Everything is clean and new (it looks exactly like it does in the pictures). The living room area feels so inviting, I got to spend a wonderful evening in great company here, completely with homemade food, tea, a fireplace, guitar music and a comfy couch :) Can definitely recommend the food! Aoife and James were amazing hosts, very helpful and welcoming and I really wish I could've stayed longer.
