Slobhain, I feel terribly about the situation you encountered and that is why I have offered a full refund and my sincere apology. We immediately looked into the situation and being in the countryside, as best as we can determine, the bats were attracted to the lights up in the loft area and flew in unnoticed during preparation and cleaning of the space. We know now to focus our attention on keeping doors and windows shut at dusk. when they are most present, and inspecting the rafters prior to guest arrival to insure no unwanted little visitors. I assure you that it is our number one priority to assure that all guests feel safe and comfortable in all of our spaces. The bats in our gardens are a rare and endangered species who play an important role in our healthy ecosystem so we choose to co-exist with them. This is the first time we have had an issue of this kind and we are doing everything in our power to insure it is the last. We are sad and sorry they disturbed your peaceful stay and again our deepest and most heartfelt apologies.
