Indoor fireplace
This is one of a few places in the area that has this feature.

This remote farmhouse is situated in a national park within one of the largest areas of uninterrupted forest in Europe.
Solar power, no WIFI, mountain spring water, wood-fired ovens and homegrown veg offer a true off-the-grid experience for travelers looking to get back to nature and have a digital detox. Visit the Monastery of St.Francis and the sacred forests and the hidden gems of the Casentino. Plenty of wild swimming in the nearby waterfalls and rewarding hikes direct from the doorstep.

Sophie and George's place is very special. It is rural, wild and truly off grid. They are great hosts, we felt very welcome in their home and they suggested walks and swimming spots nearby for us too. We hope to return soon.

Sophie & George's place is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. It is in the middle of the tuscan hills in a national park, with natural waterfalls and stone pools close by. They were not there themselves during our short stay, however their friend Nico took care of us very well…
