The VIEW!!! Absolutely stunning garden with a view of both Mount Etna and the Mediterranean. The house is clean and comfortable with so many places to lounge and relax with a glass of wine and a good book. It's the perfect picture of all that Taormina has to offer. It's right off the busy streets but it's so quiet and secluded you don't even feel like you're still in the city. The house can get very stuffy and hot and we had a hard time getting the air conditioning to work but once we did it was perfect. If you're driving make sure that you have a good grasp of the layout of the city. This is NOT on a main street and depending on the time you arrive it will be very busy and can be hard to navigate with a lot of street where you don't want to drive as a non-native. We recommend parking on Via Luigi Pirandello - the stairs to Casa Limone are located on that street. Also Gabriella is not on site and, it looks like other people didn't have this problem but, we had a difficult time reaching her. She didn't send information on how to reach the house until after we were supposed to check in and couldn't find our way. We would definitely recommend this place. Great stay, just a few things to keep in mind.
We stayed at Casa Limone for 4 days for our honeymoon and we had the most amazing time. The house is beautiful and the views are incredible. The photos do not do it justice. It's really close to the town so it's very easy to get to the restaurants, bars and cafes but it is also so peaceful and quiet which is hard to find. It really is a little slice of paradise. We would 100% recommend staying here and would love to return at some stage.
The location of the house was fabulous, the pictures on the website don't quite capture how beautiful the place is. Although you have to climb up many steps to get there, it's absolutely worth it. The house itself felt spacious and was comfortable for myself, 2 other adults and 2 small children. The garden was secure to keep my 3 year old nephew contained and the shower was always hot ! The property is a short walk from the centre of Taormina, brimming with fabulous restaurants and boutiques. Yet in the house you don't hear any noise from the town. I would certainly recommend the place if you are looking to come Taormina. Gabriella was also an excellent host.
The house itself is not that big, but the view makes it worthwhile. Our visit to Sicilia would not have been complete without this house. The experience would not have been the same if we just stayed at a simple hotel. We had a whole day spent at the house cooking pasta, drinking great Sicilian White Wine (bought at a small market 5 min down the hill), cheeses, fruits, the sun, great classic Italian music, and that great view. What more can you ask for? Be prepared to go up quite a few stairs to the house, specially if you have large luggage. At the second night we found another way to the house, which was much easier. When you leave the house turn to the left, that´s an easier way down to the city and up to the house. What would make this house more perfect is a swimming pool, but I guess that´s too much to ask for! All in all, great memories made in this house.
Our holiday at Casa Limone was perfect! The communication with Gabriella was very good. She was quick and helpfull. The house is nice on the photo's but so much better when you see it in real life. The garden (the gardener put so much love into it), the stunning view (Etna, mountains and the see), the location (quiet surrounding) and the nice lady (sorry, I forgot her name) who showed us around. The house is spacious and cosy. Gabriella and Victor have a great taste! We would like to thank you for a wonderfull stay at Taormina.
