Interaction with guests

I have been a volunteer tour guide since 5 years ago.
I would love to help you plan you travel throughout Japan, so you can make the best out of your time here! I can send you some example guides and depending on if you are using a JR Pass or not I will do my best to make similar ones depending on where you want to go.
Please feel free to ask me.

The neighbourhood

Tokyo Sky tree
In May 2012 Tokyo finished building a 634m high radio tower called the Tokyo Sky tree. It has become a popular tourist attraction as you're allowed to go in side and go all the way up to 450m where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Tokyo.
On the first observatory 340m-350m there are some restaurants, cafe's and even a hotel.
Here you can enjoy the scenery while having some drinks or food.
The second observatory located 445m-450m high you can check out the whole of Tokyo as never shown before.

Asakusa's image is different from the big office building image that most people have of Tokyo.
It has a more historical feeling to it as you can for example find Sensoji Temple there.
To get to Sensoji Temple you will first have to pass through the famous Kaminari Gate and walk passed the little stalls on Namise Street.
This is probably one of the hottest sightseeing places in Tokyo.
On Nakamise street, there are all kinds of stalls from souvenir stalls to food stalls.
Asakusa is also famous for its Monjya. Asakusa offers all kinds of small restaurants and cafe's so it's not only for sightseeing!

~Omotesando/ Harajuku~
Omotesando Hills is famous for shopping in the Omotesando area.
Takeshita street is always crowded with brewing with young people.
Meiji Shrine is one of Japan's most popular shrines. This shrine was completed and dedicated to the Emperor Meiji.

For shopping, there is SHIBUYA109 (men and women dept are in separate buildings), a big shiny mall with over 100 boutiques that all show the latest looks in disposable fashion. There’s also Shibuya Hikarie for an older and more refined consumer. Shibuya crossing is famous intersection outside Shibuya Station. If you want to experience nature and exercise a bit Yoyogi park is within 10min walking distance!

There are quite some famous department stores (Isetan/ Takashimaya/ LUMINE/ Marui/ Shinjuku Southern Terrace) where you can go shopping.
There is also Shinjuku Gyoen and Hanazono Shrine where you can experience the nature in the center of the city. If you want to go for a night out, there is Kabukicho where you will see a lot of Izakaya’s (Typical Japanese “restaurants”) stores and host clubs. There is Robot restaurant which is very popular.

Getting around

★ From Kinshicho Station ★
Shinjuku 21 minutes

This was our first airbnb experience and it was great! * The apartment * -It looks just like the pictures! Well furnished and very cute. -Really affordable for a 3.5 week trip. -Lots of amenities are provided. Shampoo, conditioner, cleaning supplies, liquid detergent, etc. -Comfortable beds and super warm blankets. -Three of us stayed at the apartment and it was a little small with all of us and our luggage. I feel like it would be ideal for two people. -It was pretty clean. Bathroom, kitchen, and water closet were all clean. But there were large bits of dust alongside the refrigerator, behind the TV, and under the couch. I think this is what caused my boyfriend to have really bad allergies in the apartment only. When we went outside he was fine. I cleaned up the dust but his allergies remained during the entire trip lol. * The location * - The location of Kazuki's apartment is perfect. It is really easy to get to. Akihabara is only a couple stops away and it's close to all the main attractions of Tokyo. There is also a bus stop in the neighborhood that goes directly to tokyo disney sea and sky tree. There are also lots of malls in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is very lively, which can make it a bit noisy at night, because the apartment is located on a busy street. We heard ambulances every night, but you get used to it. *The host* -Kazuki is great! Always was very communicative and kind! Kazuki definitely made our first airbnb experience a good one and I can totally see why Kazuki is and superhost. I would stay again and recommend this place to others ! Thanks Kazuki!

Very nice cosy apartment with everything you would need in close proximity. A 7-11 opposite the apartment, A Taito Arcade Station close by, and more than enough cheap food options just around the corner. The apartment itself was stocked with all the everyday items needed for a pleasant experience! Highly recommended for a group of 3!

The place was amazing and as described. It was cosy and not too far from the nearest JR train station. Sky tree is only 1 stop away which we found to be very convenient. It was definitely worth the stay and will be looking to come back again. Thanks Kazuki
