Where you’ll be

Tucson, Arizona, United States

We are in a dramatic box canyon in the Sonoran Desert, on multiple acres at the edge of the Tucson Mountain Park and Sahuaro National Monument West. Sounds of nature in the natural desert where birds, deer, javelina, jackrabbits, coyotes, and bobcats may show up at any time. Our sunsets are wondrous and the quiet welcomes you upon leaving the traffic and city sounds only fifteen minutes away. You will find the night sky extraordinary because there is very minimal light pollution and millions of stars with planets in clear view. Come during the full moon if you can. Unforgettable!

You will love your own private, fenced, large Japanese Garden area with cedar soaking tub and outdoor shower, and several areas for relaxing, reading and restoring yourselves, and making the easy trip into Tucson's revitalized downtown with all its offerings.

You will also be within minutes of I-10 making it easy for you to explore the Southern Arizona area.

Our guests are surprised and delighted when they arrive. You will be too.

Together they have created several living spaces, including their current home and guesthouse that are built with the intention of creating natural sanctuary in a too intense world. Our purpose for the private guesthouse and garden is for our guests to relax and restore themselves in the quiet beauty of nature, Japanese Ofuro tub, and garden. We love traveling and meeting diverse cultures in addition to experiencing the oceans, islands, great cities, art galleries, wine country, museums, architecture, jazz, and indigenous cultures and music around the world. Great food, especially Indian and Northern Italian, and fine wines are high on our list. We love quiet and privacy where we stay. Uncluttered, clean, light-filled living spaces in a natural setting and materials are our favorites with great views, books, music, peacefulness and culture nearby call to us. We love nature, hiking, scuba diving, exploring the wilderness, discovering cultures, experiencing beauty, and celebrating life. It is a joy for us to meet people who love life, art, music, nature, lifelong learning, engaging conversation, preserving the environment, human rights, and traveling also. We have a beautiful 700 sf private guesthouse with fireplace, kitchenette, patios, free WIFI, great biking, hiking, and golf near by. Our newest addition to our guesthouse experience is a private Japanese Garden with authentic cedar Ofuro soaking tub for two under the night sky, complete with outdoor shower and chaise lounges for your relaxation and enjoyment. We live in a box canyon in the lush Sonoran Desert with all kinds of wildlife on the edge of the Saguaro National Monument. Our life motto is taken from the Navajo, "Walk in beauty." We invite you to be our guests.
