Our booking was originally made for Royal Ocean Plaza but Fran informed us that the owner had sold this and we were given the option to stay in Tradewinds which was described as ‘a lot bigger, and better quality’. We agreed to stay there. What wasn’t mentioned was that there is a building site outside the apartment only feet away from bedroom windows – work going on 8am – 8pm (up to midnight once). This made having windows open almost impossible. Upon arrival we were let into apartment by someone other than Fran and told not to put air-conditioning on in bedroom as there had been a leak – apparently Fran knew about this and would be contacting us to let us know that ‘someone is coming this week to fix it’. I emailed Fran to let her know that we had been told this and also that the main lights in the lounge area did not work either. I never had a reply, neither was air-conditioning fixed. The smell of damp in the bedroom was awful and the carpet and walls under the unit was soaking wet (and even now that we are home the smell of damp has lingered on items). The apartment was not clean – in particular the kitchen sink, fridge and bathrooms. We found an empty drinks can, sweet papers and broken glass under a single bed. It is a good size. Location is a double edged sword – it has great views, is conveniently situated for restaurants and bars. However, the noise level is terrible early hours of morning from people leaving bars. During our stay the air-conditioning unit in the lounge made awful noise and water poured out of it down the wall and onto the sofa. Air-conditioning in kitchen stated to make same noise so we didn’t use that either. The apartment is damp – mould spores appeared in the hallway and in the lounge. General points are: 1. 4 person apartment but only 3 outside chairs (one of which is in poor condition) 2. No airing rack (as is common practice in these apartments, especially when there is no dryer) – I had to purchase one myself. 3. Essential kitchen equipment not in – namely a corkscrew, can opener and chopping board. It was not value for money based mainly on the damp condition and no air-conditioning.

This is a large modern apartment in a fantastic location. It has potential for guests to get the wow factor but is let down by a number of factors ( these are not Frans fault ). Firstly the apartment has faults the owner needs to rectify. one shower failed to work, both toilets would not flush properly and seemed blocked, 1 TV would not tune in and the odd downlight did not work. Fran has been made aware of these so hopefully they will be solved before you visit. Upon our arrival it was apparent the cleaner had not done their job ( dirty toilets and carpets). These are things that can be solved and Fran is aware. If these are sorted id give it 5 stars

Fabulous apartment, clean, modern & very secure / private. Fantastic view from the vary spacious balcony. Superb location which overlooks the marina and airport runway to the right. Sunborn Yacht 2 minute walk away. Lots of local restaurants below the apartment and all within 2 minute walk. 2 petrol stations 5/6 minute walk. Morrisons is a good 15/20 walk away. Town centre is also nearby, just 10 minute walk away.

The apartment was super fantastic....large and spacious with a great balcony. The balcony overlooks the Sunborn Hotel and the runway with great water views. I will definitely be returning to this place.
