Beautiful self contained mews warehouse in a quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of happening Camden. Warm, bright and spacious with all the mod cons including 55in smart TV and lightning fast broadband, Nespresso machine, washer, dishwasher, oven, stove. the floating bed hovering over the sitting room with views of the sky is a very romantic and special experience.
2 mins walk from Mornington Crescent tube. 15 mins to St Pancras International 10 mins to Camden Markets, Regents Park and London Zoo.
Designed by Retrouvius, the former warehouse used to be the residence of a falconer. These days, the 1 bedroom apartment provides thrills and inspiration to the design aficionado. The first sign that hints at the flavour to come is the original steep and narrow oak staircase that leads up to the accommodation.
The kitchen is furnished with a Matthew Hilton dining table and bookended by oxblood vintage chairs. A look that already suggests the style direction of the interiors.
The fearless presence of the free-standing bathtub right in the kitchen tickles the viewer with a slight discomfort. Or does it advocate that the impossible is possible? And in a similar vein, the floating bed hovering over the sitting room certainly favours a quirky and unusual lifestyle over a banal and conventional approach to living. But more to the point, the focus is on maximising space.
Other things to note
I must stress this is not a party flat. Being a large open plan apartment loud noises do carry to the downstairs apartment so ask people to be considerate, especially after 10pm.
