Bogmalo is a sleepy beach village in South Goa. It has coconut trees all over the place. The place is not a commercial tourist center as yet and hence less crowded allowing enough time and space for oneself to absorb the serenity and the splendour of the surrounding nature. It looks like an incredible concoction of a jungle, hillock, village and an island.
Bogmalo beach is the closest beach to this place. Just like the village, the beach is less populous too giving it an impression of being a somewhat private beach. It is decorated on the boundary by various restaurants and shops selling artefacts, clothes and other souvenirs. There are some luxury accommodations like the Bogmalo beach resort and the Coconut creek resort.
What's remarkable about this less known tourist destination is its proximity to the only airport in Goa (Dabolim Airport). It's only about 10 mins drive from the airport.
In the neighbourhood is the Naval Aviation museum which is only half a kilo meter away which is worthwhile watch for kids and warfare equipment enthusiasts. Some good restaurants are there in this place like Claudi's and other theme restaurants on the beach.
Free parking is available at the Raikar Guest House. The primary mode of transport is private vehicles. Alternately there is a private bus service available every half an hour whose stop is about 250 mts away from the Guest House.
The only expectation is guests should not be so boisterous as to disturb the peace and other guests. Guests will be expected to furnish valid photo id as per the norms laid down by Government.
