Magnus is an awesome host!! The room is very clean and cozy and the house is lovely. He knows a lot about Iceland and helped me plan my visit. One day after I came back after driving for 400 kilometers, he even made me pizza and offered me some traditional traditional Icelandic food!

Magnus has a lovely home in a quiet neighbourhood. The room is clean and the bed is very comfortable! Magnus is a nice host who offered me rides to and from the bus terminal on several occasions. One night he even gave me a quick ride around the city to check out beautiful houses. Note that Magnus lives in the suburbs, just outside Reykjavik, so nothing is really walking distance except the 24 hour grocery chain Hagkaup. However, city centre is only about 15 minute ride away.

Magnus is an awesome host and super knowledgeable about Iceland's best locations. He suggested I visit Seljalandsfoss on my way to Skogafoss and it was so beautiful, it made my trip. Magnus also respects boundaries and is very helpful in directing you on where/how to see the Reykjavik best. The neighborhood is quiet and residential, super clean, and the room is very cozy. I suggest renting a car if you stay here - it just makes everything easier since you must take a bus to get into the city (which is a 15-min drive away). Although if you're visiting in the summer, the bus should be fine.

It was a pleasure and a privilege to stay at Magnus's. He's a stunningly generous and informative host who went above and beyond expectation to make me feel welcome and to ensure that I experienced as much of the area as possible. Really it felt more like staying with a trusted friend who's also an expert tour guide. His Icelandic hospitality extended to: driving me to see local sights well off the tourist tracks - including nearby towns, underground caves and a more challenging route up/down Helgafell - and lending me gear when needed; picking me up from the airport bus around 1am, and driving me to and from the city centre several times; and providing lovely Icelandic food, coffee and beer. He even inviting me to his family's NYE celebrations, which I deeply regret that I had to decline, as it would've been wonderful. The house is a distance from the centre of town, but is perfectly situated for anyone with an outdoorsy bent - it's very close to great hiking spots and natural beauty - or anyone who wants to see how locals live, away from the tourist hoards. Plus it's accessible via bus, or Magnus's work commute. (I walked from town once, but wouldn't recommend this to everyone!) Of course the house is clean and warm, a short walk to shops for self-caterers, and has all the amenities you need. The area itself is safe, friendly and quiet. Þakka þér fyrir, Magnus!

Magnús was one of the most kindest people I've ever met. He went beyond my expectation. He's a super host, making sure you can have the best time in Iceland. He drove me and picked me up a few times when I got lost. He offered me food because he likes to cook, so I tried Icelandic typical food too! His place is super clean and it has a great space. And beyond this, he is an awesome person, he's even on Iceland's rescue team! I think I wouldn't have had the same amazing Iceland experience if Magnús hadn't been my Airbnb host. If I ever come back to Iceland, I'm sure looking up on staying here again! Thank you Magnús for your kindness! This experience wouldn't have been the same without you!

I can't be more grateful. The house is clean and spacious, with convinient facilities. Magnus is very good at cooking and very experienced at the outdoor explorations in Iceland. He is a very reliable, friendly person and a volunteer of the 112 rescue team. He offered a lot of help to me, without which my trip in Iceland couldn't be so amazing!

He did everything I could've asked for!; picking me up at bus station/downtown Reykjavik, offering me delicious Icelandic meal, taking me to a tour to towns/cave, preparing bubble bath since I was in rain during hiking, coming to rental car shop with me so they don't take advantage of me etc... Also, he's very willing to hang out and take me to hike on one of famous trails in Iceland. I wanted to go, but my schedule didn't allow. :( next time! Overall he's a very good caring host. The house is also very clean. I felt comfortable with the room provided and could sleep very well.
