Spacious house with large living room connected to open kitchen and dining room. Three seperate rooms are connected to this room/floor. The house has two bathrooms. Kitchen is fully equipped and has a good selection of additional items you need (spices, salt, detergents for dishwashing and washing maschine etc.) Many options to sit outside e.g. for breakfast or evening with wonderful views. Lots of shadowy places on the terasses. Next supermarket about 10 min to drive. Closest beach about 15 minutes to drive. A variety of beaches in the vicinity of 30 driving minutes. A good spot to explore the eastern part of Crete and to enjoy the island. Many good tips from our host! When we stayed there it was very hot and the cooling by opening all windows and doors and having a lot of wind was helpful.

We had a super stay at Poppy's beautiful place - both inside and out. What a view!! Better than the pictures! Poppy was very helpful and communicative through out our booking and our stay, no questions too small. When we arrived there were plenty of fruit and drinks too! We really appreciate these little details :) Definitely would come stay again. The surrounding is stunning, dotted with little sleepy villages and tavernas, feels like time stood still in these places. Gorgeous!

Poppy was a great host. From when I landed in Crete, she was available to answer any questions. I was met in Neapoli, and Poppy then showed me around the area first before going to the Villa. The villa surpassed all my expectations. The location to visit the surrounding sites was excellent. It was lovely and secluded and allowed me to study for my uni exams. The villa is great to visit the famous Spinalonga island - well worth a visit.

This is a lovely well equipped house on the edge of a traditional Cretan village with tavernas in walking distance. Poppy was a wonderful host and gave us lots of information about places to visit....we even were invited to a church celebration which was a real privilege..... Thank you, Poppy!

We, my wife and her children (20, 14) had a very wonderful time . Poppy was very nice (also her son and her Daddy) and helped us when we had any kind of questions. The house was big enough for us and we enjoyed spending time inside and especially outside in the evening and mornig. The house is decorated with a lot of love to wonderful details. The people in Fourni are very friendly and the food in the Kafenions there is very delicate. With our rental car, we made a lot of trips, especially we fall in love with a small hidden bay with aquamarin water (personal tip by Poppy). The Cretan people are so friendly and helpful, we are very sure that this wasn`t the last trip to Creta.

We had a wonderful time in Fourni, in this beautiful house and with our host Poppy. We loved the style of the house and the great view from the terrace. The village is authentic an nice. We also enjoyed Poppys recommendation for trips, which we didn`t find in our travel guides. It was also a great pleasure spending time with her, her family and her friend Julienne on a trip. Dear Poppy, thank you so much for a great time. We would definitely like to come back some times.

Poppy was a wonderful host and went out of her way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Our flight arrived quite late and she met us in Neapoli (8km away) well after midnight. She came to check that we had everything we needed again the next day, had suggestions for excursions and was always responsive if we had questions (I rented her place for three weeks). She and her family were warm and helpful and even brought us fresh eggs and homemade goodies (dolmas, cookies). We loved exploring the village of Fourni, eating loquats from the tree in the garden, hearing the bells on the sheep in the surrounding olive groves and just relaxing and enjoying the views (and sounds and smells) from one of the terraces around the house. i would absolutely consider coming back.

I have run my own café/restaurant for eight years. It was situated on the busy Eluonda causeway and was frequented by tourists and Greeks alike. The café is famous for its authentic Greek atmosphere where many local musicians went to play.

I am from Fourni village and I lived in Munich Germany with my German husband for ten years. I consequently speak English and German fluently. I have now passed on my café and wish to work in the tourist industry with the Poppy Season project organising tourist buddy tours with my Airbnb guests.
