Newly remodeled hidden garden level apartment, a great space with comfort and privacy in mind! Lovingly decorated with thoughtful appointments
The unit is on the lower level of my home. I just finished a year long remodel, all done with permits. Over the past year and a half, I have scoured flea markets, thrift shops, and those ubiquitous sidewalk sales and "free stuff" piles in front yards....After cleaning, refinishing, recovering and repurposing many things, as well as adding in some cool new stuff for style, health and safety (new beds, linens etc. I think I have finished the space just the way I would my own space. I have stayed in many a rental houses and hotels-
I thought of all of the things I did not like in my travels, such as: No reading lights? Few outlets? No books? No space to work? Thin towels? Lumpy pillows? You won't say that here! As for your very private patio, since gardening is my passion, that was a joyous task for me. Sit under the umbrella and bistro lights, listen to the fountain splash, enjoy an adult beverage or a cup of Stumptown coffee and relax. Welcome to Portland!

Interaction with guests
I am usually available by text 24 - 7 and like to meet each party in person whenever possible. I will give you the numbers to text me or my helper when you arrive. I am a night owl and I'm up very late my helper is an extreme morning person and is up very early. Can't find something?? text me! 24 hours check in can be arranged.
Of course I assume if it is not urgent, that you will not text during off hours.
But, your privacy is paramount to me.
Other things to note
Roo, my black lab mix lives in the main house, but does not go into the apartment. He is a daycare star pupil. (he does have a fascination with sneaking into the side yard to watch people through the windows, but never in your own patio area). So, if you look up at night, and a cute black face is looking at you from a window - not to worry, he is just curious! There is a pet fee of $15 per night, up to $45 total, per pet. Airbnb's platform does not allow
hosts to put this in pricing, so you will receive a message "requesting funds" for the amount, and can approve it before you get here. Thanks!

Single female homeowner. Moved back home to Portland from a 40 year stay in San Francisco/Silicon Valley and loving it! I love to garden, vintage/thrift shop, fix up my 107 year old home, read, watch documentaries, walk my dog, Roo and meet people. My favorite spot to hike is the Lief Erikson Trail off Germantown Road in Forest Park. I like to eat new things, hear new voices and see new places.
