About this listing

Spacious room with its own private bathroom in a 2 floor apartment next to Kifissias avenue, on the borders of Chalandri & Maroussi, literally across OAKA stadium & Helexpo. A room that feels more like a studio, since it has its own private bathroom, a big balcony for late night drinks with a great "urban" view and a "private" entrance.

Next to Civitel hotel, 2 hospitals (Iaso & Hygeia) & 2 malls / convenient for traveling to the airport & the center of Athens (25' drive).

The space

The room is quite spacious, very clean and cozy. It has a medium size fridge with a freezer. A toaster and glasses are available also. Hair dryer and iron will be provided, if needed. It also has a big balcony (with private access by visitors) with great window view, since the apartment is on the 5th floor. In the closet you will find lots of books (in English, Greek, Spanish).
Guests will have their own private bathroom, always with fresh towels and shampoo/shower gel.

Room and bathroom are separated by a door from the rest of the house, so privacy is guaranteed.

Although the main entrance of the house is on the 4th floor, you will enter through the elevator door that goes directly to the 5th floor (that only has two rooms). Me and my husband will mostly be on the 4th floor. In that way you will have a sense of autonomy.

Guest access

The 5th floor has one more room for our private use that will be off limits for the Airbnb visitor. The 4th floor will be off limits.

Interaction with guests

During your stay me and my husband will be staying in the apartment, but working biggest part of the day, usually until late at night.
We value your privacy, but would be available to answer any questions about the area or the house!
We have many suggestions for local coffee places, tavernas and restaurants.

The neighbourhood

The apartment is located:
- 3' walk and right across "Golden Hall", the most luxurious shopping mall in Greece with many cafes (Starbucks included) and shops
- 5' walk to Helexpo conference center
- 12' walk to OAKA stadium, which hosted Olympic Games back in 2004 and one of the most beautiful sites in Athens
- 10' walk to 2 big hospitals (IASO and Hygeia)
- 7' walk to a large Carrefour supermarket and Vassilopoulos supermarket
- 15' walk to Chalandri, a lively neighborhood in North Athens with lots of restaurants, cafes, shops that lets you experience life in Athens as a local
- 5' walk to a bus station for the north of Athens. The buses take you to Kifissia, one of the richest and most upscale areas in Athens (driving there would take 15').
- 7' walk to a bus station where 3 buses take you to the center of Athens and all central metro stations (in about 40')
- 13' walk to one of the best high-class restaurants in Athens, "Αγάνι" (Agani)
- 20' drive to the airport

Getting around

Parking is available but let us know in advance in order to indicate which space you should use.

Nearest buses are 550, A7 and X14 that take you to the center of Athens, metro stations and Kifissia.
Nearest metro station is 1. Panormou and 2. Chalandri (4,50-5,50 euro worth drive with a taxi).
Nearest suburban railway "Kifissias" station (which takes to the airport in 20') is 15' walk.
Nearest train station (which connects with the metro station and leads to Piraeus harbor) is "Eirini", a 20' walk through OAKA stadium.

Other things to note

* You can check in anytime (even after midnight), since the keys will be available for you throughout the whole day.
* We have a very friendly dog (13 years old), which stays on the 4h floor. We don't allow her to go inside the room, even when the room is not in use.

Natassa was really nice and helpful. I arrived late and left early so she stayed up/got up early to let me out. Communication was easy. The room was bright and spacious with a big balcony (which unfortunately I didn't have time to enjoy). The location was nice and quiet. The location was ideal for me as I had an appointment close by but is a little way out of the centre (but lots of buses etc. close by).

For a single person or for a couple, the place is just great for the money. You will enjoy a huge balcony with nice panoramic view. Although it is not a studio, but a room in an appartement, you will find yourself in a 3 stars hotel setting plus private balcony. Things to know: Since the area is considered as a luxery sleeping district, one may encounter some problems with finding food stores and fast transportation to the down town. I would advise to take care about programming your displacement and shopping - given this is taken care of, you will enjoy your stay very much

500 words are not enough to describe how kind and professional Natassa is, so i'll try to cut it short, I had a horrible experience coming from the airport "completely my fault as i didn't turn on roaming or charge my phone" and when i arrived i caught Natassa going to work, she was kind enough to take me to buy a local sim card so i can have GPS access and we had breakfast together, she stayed with me till she made sure i was okay and i guess she was late for work because of that, then she made everything possible to make me feel comfortable, they took me for a tour around the area to show me everything, they took much time planning for me which island i should go to, whenever am lost or confused or at a place where i had trouble communicate with people i'd just text Natassa and she'd do whatever it takes to help me, talking to people, translating for me, sending me directions, recommending places and even food or drinks. Even after I left their place (because I was booked) they offered that i can leave my luggage so i can enjoy day at the beach which Natassa chose carefully and showed me exactly how to get there, they even recommended other places for me to stay at the time they're booked, I had an amazing experience, if it weren't for these two I swear i could have just gone back home. They made my experience in Greece totally worth it that am even thinking about coming back again next year. Thank you so much!!
