This is a unique 145 square meter duplex mansion, 18th century style, inside the alleys of Plaka. It does not get any closer to the Acropolis hill and the ancient streets of Acropolis. 360 view of Athens from the roof as good as nowhere else.

The space

*Please make sure that you have checked availability first before submitting your reservation request !!!
The Acropolis: The sacred rock of Athens. The city "fortress"and Athena’s temple in ancient times. The ancient market (Agora), the temple of Olympian Zeus, the Odeon of Herodus Atticus, the Parthenon, Philopappou Hill, Hadrian’s Arch, Plaka, Thiseion, Keramikos, Monastiraki… You’re here, right here!!!
This 145 square meter house is right next to these monuments, sights and places and can be directly met in a few-minute walk from your doorstep.
The Acropolis and Makrygianni area: A quiet and safe neighborhood which is constantly growing, developing and being modernized without losing its original identity. With all kinds of stores around –cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries, new designers’ studio, hotels, restored and crumbling neoclassical mansions , etc., offers visitors a variety of choices and conveniences to go out, explore and entertain themselves by day and night. A meeting spot for people from all over the world. The perfect starting point to wander around the city.
You arrive at the house after an only 2-minute walk from the Acropolis metro station.
Getting to know the house: A refurbised mansion, 145 square meter with a large cozy living room, a kitchen and a dining area on the ground floor. 2 bedrooms on the second floor and a balcony. And finally 1 extra bedroom in the attic. Fully equiped with antique furnitures and unique artifacts this is not your typical IKEA listing rather than a work of art. All the rooms are cool and quiet and offer a unique feel of Greek baroque art.
The owner of the house spends time between Athens and Paros island. This house is their permanent residence when in Athens. The old furniture, passed on by grand-parents, co-exist with colorful and playful new pieces. Feel free to look around the house and discover the collections of objects found in flea markets, bazaars and travels. The house includes all the necessary equipment and appliances of a house that is inhabited and enjoys receiving guests.
The house provides: wireless internet connection, a 32 inch TV, cable-TV CD player, radio, central heating, fans, washing machine, and also , a bookcase with several books in Greek English, and French.
Also, clean towels and sheets are provided for the guests to use during their stay.
In the kitchen, you will find all kind of supplies that you might need during your stay for cooking.
The rest, I leave to you to discover… Don’t hesitate to ask anything you’d like to know about the area and the city. I’d be glad to give out, secrets and share my favorite places in the city with you, to help you feel like more than a tourist.

My family of 5 stayed at Jeitons home and were very happy with the location, the house itself including furnishings. The wifi, the plush thirsty towels provided and the thoughtful cold bottles of water in the fridge. Kristin was responsive with his emails and had a nice tip sheet in the home for us. The below is the review as given by my three kids, ages 19, 15, and 12. :-) My 15 year old daughter: This house was a great place for my family to stay. It's location is excellent because it is around many restaurants and shops. 19 year old son: The apartment itself is cozy and has elegant furnishings. The rooftop terrace is a great place to enjoy a glass of wine while overlooking the city. There is a small patio right outside with a spiral staircase leading up to the terrace. The wifi works well and the rooms all have outlets. In the bedrooms the beds were a bit stiff but the air conditioning worked beautifully to even that out. Forgot all about the heat wave going on outside. My 11 year old son added the below: The piano in the downstairs area adds an extra bit of comfort to the house, as well. I would recommend this home to other Airbnb users. Note - we used uber to get to the place and since this is a pedestrian area, the uber driver did not take us very close to the home. Pack light lol

We loved our time at your home. We had two teenagers who needed their space and the Mansion provided. The location is outstanding! When we return again to Athens, the Mansion will be our home... highly recommend!!!

We couldn't have imagined a better place to stay during our vacation in Athens. Plaka is is so convenient to all the key attractions, but it can be busy. This lovely home is in a quiet spot on a charming street. We were two couples and had plenty of room. The common area includes a living room, dining room and kitchen. The bedrooms are on the second floor with a small patio outside (as well as a private clothes rack for your laundry which takes no time to dry in the Athens heat). Then there is a roof patio that is reached by a spiral staircase and affords wonderful views. In the evening you can look out on the diners below and listen to the live Greek music as you watch the lights come on in the city, but once inside it is extremely quiet. By the way, the nearby Taverna Psaras is a wonderful spot for lunch or dinner-- they even allowed us to do takeout one night so that we could enjoy eating at home. To top it off, Kriton is extremely responsive and easy to work with. I recommend Plaka Mansion without hesitation.

First of all, Kriton was an amazing host with an amazing location. Just a couple things to be aware of since you're in the Plaka; it's a little work to get your luggage to the house. I would suggest a taxi. Also the plumbing is old and will not allow tissue paper. Otherwise amazing!! Thanks Kriton!!
