Nestled between Table Mountain and Lion's Head, this is the most unique location in Cape Town! Stroll out of the door and hike up Lions Head or Table Mountain, or hop on the bus to be in the city centre in 5 mins. Hit legendary Long St, or the new hip kid on the block Bree St. Vibey Kloof Street is just down the hill, with it's trendy eateries, bars and shops. A few minutes the other way and you are in Camps Bay enjoying cocktails while admiring the finest of white sandy beaches.

The space

Where else can you stay in the middle of the city where you can walk straight up Lion's Head or Table Mountain?! It feels like you are in the country, but you are minutes from the city centre! Your room is newly renovated, but the rest of the house has a basic farmhouse feeling, built in the 60's as a forester ranger's house. Officially, it is part of Table Mountain National Reserve.

Guest access

Guests have access to their bedroom from the front door, which we hardly ever use. They can also use the lounge and kitchen. There is a private bathroom with bath and toilet, but it does not have a shower. Guests may use the shower in the main en-suite bedroom (we are very chilled about this).

There is a lovely garden with fantastic views of Table Mountain and a secluded, quiet BBQ area which guests are welcome to share with us. Sometimes we might BBQ and invite you to join, or you can have it all to yourself!

Interaction with guests

Myself and another person share the house, so we will be on hand to help with any questions you have or advice you need throughout your stay. If you want to be private, we'll leave you alone. If you want to socialise with us, we'll be happy to!

Other things to note

We don't have TV, but there is a media player and monitor in your room. We can supply you with movies or documentaries, as you wish.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION: If you happen come across this listing, book it now. You will not find a more unique place with such warm, welcoming hosts in the best, most central area in Cape Town. You literally have Lions head, Table Mountain and the CBD right on your door step. I never paid more than R30 for an Uber into town. Marc and Leon really make you feel welcome in their home and look after you like an old friend. They have lived in the house for more than 10 years and know of the best places to frequent in and around town. From galleries to jazz bars - just ask! They are also super chilled about coming and going when ever you like. Marc plays a mixture of 70's/80's and 90's music in the house at your request that creates a great ambiance. Marc and Leon included me in their supper arrangements on various occasions and cooked delicious curries, pastas and even a braai with me. We also shared many glasses of wine and German beer together. Would love the opportunity to come and visit again soon.

Marc and Leon are brilliant hosts and this little gem of a house is perfectly located for exploring the mountains, driving into town, and relaxing in their garden. Dogs were a huge bonus. Comes highly recommended!

The stay at Marc's place was just awesome. Everything was just perfect and above any expectation. The flat is very nice and you feel extremely comfortable. It is probably one of the best spots in Capetown. And Marc and Leon both were the best hosts i ever had. It felt like going on vacation with good friends. We really enjoyed the time. It was great !

The time with Marc and Leon was simply amazing! There couldn´t have been a better place and people to stay in Cape Town. It was so lovely beeing there, with this incredible view on the Table Mountain from the Garden and with Marc and Leon sharing the time, made it for us challenging to find the motivation and leave the house ;) We definitively recommand the place of Leon und Marc and obviously coming back to them when we are in Cape Town once again. Thank you soooo much ;)

We stayed in Marc and Leon's place for a few days and our experience couldn't be better. They're the most helpful, sweet and amazing guys we could ever meet during our stay. They were always ready to help us in every way possible and the room itself was really comfy. Max and Roxy (the dogs) are the cutest thing ever. The house is located in the most incredible place ever (you get to eat breakfast while looking at table mountain from the garden, for example) and if you feel like it you can take a swim as well. The experience of staying at Marc and Leon's house was unique. ❤ We definitely want to come back.

My partner and I stayed here for 6 nights, and it was absolutely ideal for us whilst we explored Cape Town. The location is perfect, a quiet spot with the most incredible views of Table Mountain and Lions head, however, very close (Public transport 1 minute away) to the main beaches, restaurants and night life of Camps Bay and Clifton Beach. Marc is an incredible host; relaxed, friendly and super helpful with everything we needed. The room was crisp and clean, with loads of privacy and space. This accommodation is a super environment for socialising up in the garden with the hosts and taking in the incredible views, and at the same time we felt at times like we had the place to ourselves. Fantastic balance. Staying here really 'made' our trip and we will be staying here again next time we are in Cape Town. We felt very at home and I loved how easy it was for us to come and go with ease. A piece of heaven nestled beneath the mountains.

We're relaxed, professional housemates, both in the Web IT industry. Marc works from home and Leon works at Media24. We have two friendly Jack Russells, Max and Roxy. We like the outdoors and have an excellent back garden for BBQ's. We're not going to fuzz over you and will leave you alone as much as you want, but if you want to eat or BBQ with us, you're more than welcome! Our garden is so big that you can have your privacy if you want. The great MyCiti bus service has a stop, half-a-minute's walk from our front gate.
