Guest access

Just off The Sunshine Coast Hwy, our cabin is located a mile down a gravel road with a creek running along side the forested road. A 4X4 vechicle is recommended as the is steep and can be bumpy. The cabin is very private being set off to one side of a creek and shares 25 acres with two other cabins. We have a private dock to tie your boat up at as well as to sit on and enjoy the passing watercraft and wildlife.

Interaction with guests

I meet and greet guests and explain the ins and outs of the cabin.

Other things to note

Do not wash the linens before you leave. Just pile towels in tub and bedding may be left in a pile or on beds. We do not wash these at the cabin as we do not want to put a strain on the septic system. Thank you :-)
There is no garbage pick up. Guests are asked to take away their garbage. We have a trash compactor.

Heather's cabin was amazing! She was a wonderful host who met us upon arrival and showed us everything we needed for our vacation. She was easy to communicate with prior to our arrival and during our stay. The cabin was perfect for our two families and Sakinaw Lake is such a beautiful lake. We will definitely recommend this to our family and friends and look forward to returning next summer!

The Sakinaw Lake Cabin was amazing!!! Heather and her husband Dave met us upon arrival and showed us all of the ins and outs of the house. Heather and Dave were fantastic from the day that we booked to the day that we checked out. They answered all of our questions and were so accommodating and kind! The lake was absolutely beautiful and the cabin has an amazing dock and water slide as well as kayaks and a canoe to adventure around the lake! Overall, our stay at the cabin was an absolute dream and I would recommend to anyone that needs a quiet getaway or relaxing vacation. Definitely stay at the Sakinaw lake cabin!!!!

We had a fantastic trip to Sakinaw lake at Heather's cabin. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. We had a late arrival after 8:00pm and Heather was there to provide the keys and show us around. The dock and seating area are perfect for boats or just hanging out. The outdoor lighting at night makes the cabin really stand out. The BBQ was clean and there was even an extra little beer fridge downstairs. I would definitely recommend Heather's cabin to anyone looking for a family holiday.

I am a retired primary school teacher who spends time between North Vancouver, Palm Springs and the Sunshine Coast. We like people to enjoy our lake front property as much as we do, that's why we like to share it with others.
