We greatly appreciate the place we live in and our home, and we would like more people to experience quiet surroundings, great hiking opportunities and the view of the Sognefjord. Therefore, we are 8 who live here excited to rent out our house, and we hope our guests will enjoy as much as we do.
We live 30 km from the center of Balestrand, there are many exciting offers for tourists, including Kviknes hotel. National tourist road Gaularfjellet is 10 km away, with spectacular scenery. Good swimming opportunities.

The space
The house contains 6 bedrooms, 4 on the attic and 2 on the ground floor. There are 3 bathrooms, all with toilet and shower, 1 bathroom on each floor. There is well equipped kitchen with great view, dining area for 12-14 people. The living room has a comfortable sofa and piano. Playroom/TV lounge is located next door to the living room, there are some duplo and books. The entrance is spacious, and there is also a private entrance to the laundry room with washing machine. In the loft living room there are some lego. Lower floor has TV room with pool table. We have Canal digital.
There is a large porch on three sides of the house, hence a covered patio of about 16 square meters with a double bed that can be used as an extra bed or for relaxation, sofa and dining table.
We have garage with space for one car, where it is possible to charge an EV. Parking spaces are also good.
We have foldable, movable, outdoor ping pong table, large trampoline, basketball hoop on the garage, swing stand and lawn for ball games.
There is also a gap inside the forest about 500 meters away with a fire pit that can be used (do not light on in case of fire danger). Here it is possible to stay overnight (sleeping bags, hammocks and sleeping mats can be borrowed on request).
The heating is air-water heat pump with underfloor heating downstairs and main floor as well as in the attic bathroom.

Guest access
Most of our house is available. We lock off some stalls that are pretty much storage space. We will empty most of the fridge and also make some space in the freezer. We do not have the capacity to empty, so we expect the clothes closets to be left in peace. We will make space for clothes and shoes in the laundry room and otherwise do our best to make our guests stay convenient.
Since it is 30 km to the nearest grocery store, it is okay to use goods that are in the house, but then we expect the item cost to be paid in addition.

Other things to note
We hope our guests get experience of "the good life in the countryside". The hiking opportunities are many for all skill levels, and our home is a good base for exploring the nature of Sogn. Well marked trips to Tjugatoten, Vindreken, Keipen and Raudmelen(20-30 km drive), in addition to trails to Menes-stølen or Kulestad just outside the house. It is also nice to bike on the Menes road, with little traffic. It is possible to jump from a slightly vacating dock 200 meters below the house or drive/bike 4 kilometers to family-friendly swimming area at Stølsberg (life jackets of various sizes on loan on request).
Since we don't have anyone to clean in between guests, we have not put in cleaning fees, but we would like the floors used to be vacuumed and to walk across the bathrooms and take away visible stains.
