Peace and quiet

Welcome to the Yurt at Waterloo. This is a 16 ft’ Yurt. There is very nice separate outhouse. We are nestled in the woods only 1.5 miles from Portage Lake Campground. With swimming, boating, fishing, disc golf, etc. We are surrounded by thousands of miles of trails in the Waterloo Conservation area. Plenty of privacy for campfire nights and deck lounging while enjoying the sounds of nature. You will not find more private camping and serenity!

The space
This is a Yurt that has tons of privacy, setting on a 12 acre wooded lot. This a great glamping experience. Please note that there is no electricity or running water. We do provide water bottles and the outhouse is very clean and maintained weekly. It is an incredible place to 'unplug' for a weekend, with a ton of hiking, boating, etc in the Waterloo Recreation Area.

There a wall unit propane heater, with propane provided, that warms up the yurt very quickly. We just ask that you be sure you do not leave it on when you are not there.

Guest access
You are welcome to use the area around the Yurt, but please stay within that area. If you have furry friend that wants a little more room to explore, that is ok, as long as you are with them.
