The Paul Mitchell Estate provides an ideal setting for travelers who value quality, privacy, security and luxury accommodations. This resort-like estate is located in the Lanikai Beach Community on Oahu's Windward Coast.

The exquisite Paul Mitchell Estate is located on over one acre of gated, beachfront property in the beautiful Lanikai neighborhood on the windward coast of Oahu, approximately 15 miles from Waikiki Beach.

The space
Set amidst swaying palm trees and vibrant tropical landscaping, one of America's leading stylists, Paul Mitchell, created this modern-day vision of a welcoming Polynesian village. The Estate is decorated in an aesthetically pleasing combination of uniquely-crafted elements: hand-carved Balinese doors, pillars of local 'Ohia logs, native Hawaiian Koa, and Asian antiques to produce the perfect balance between privacy, elegance and comfort.

The seven separate buildings of the 11,000 square foot estate are architecturally unified by gracefully rounded stucco walls and roofs that are capped by wood shakes made from hand-split Indonesian ironwood and fringed with feathered palm fronds. Throughout the property the high, peaked interior ceilings of the buildings are covered with finely woven grass-cloth matting and are cross-timbered and supported by columns and beams consisting of native Hawaiian ohia tree logs. Other notable features include solid teak doors which were hand-carved in Bali to depict traditional Polynesian patterns and motifs; rich Hawaiian koa wood cabinetry; and, floors and walkways of a variety of polished hardwoods, gleaming marble, and sealed flagstone. In keeping with the traditional Polynesian lifestyle, the various buildings on the estate allow natural cooling and ventilation by the prevailing tropical trade winds through louvered windows, sliding glass doors, skylights and fans.

The main house contains two of the estates seven bedrooms and features a gourmet kitchen, split-level living room, and soaring 25-foot-high ceilings. The dining room's generous pocket doors open to the ocean over marble floors. A spiral stairway leads to the second-floor, ocean front, primary bedroom suite - complete with fireplace, flat screen television, spacious lanai and sumptuous marble bathroom.

Covered flagstone pathways meander past the Boat House, which includes an upstairs crow's nest bedroom suite and its own oceanfront sitting room and wet bar, along with gym/fitness area and an additional bathroom located below. The pathway continues to a Guest Service Pavilion which contains an oceanfront living/dining area, tv/entertainment center, ceiling fan, wet bar and a full kitchen. Beyond the service pavilion leads to the Guest House, housing the fourth and fifth oceanfront bedrooms.

The Bath House, complete with a Japanese furo (deep-soaking tub), tatami mats, a sauna, a garden shower and a koi pond, is located behind the Guest House. This is adjacent to a lagoon-style, saltwater swimming pool & spa, where a covered Pool Pavilion provides a mini-kitchen, wet bar, entertainment center, full bath, showers and changing rooms, and serves as a focal point of the estates outdoor relaxation area.

A Carriage House is located above the three-car garage, overlooking the lush gardens and fish ponds of the circular driveway and interior courtyard. The apartment has its own living/dining area, kitchen and two bedrooms (sixth and seventh bedrooms) with ensuite baths.
