We rented both top and bottom apartments for the month of January. We got a ride to the center of town and then called to meet our host's manager, Enrique. We were told it was at the end of Summer Street (translation from ). We had to drive around to find it but were successful. Enrique was there to greet us with fresh coconuts. The house has two floors, each with a kitchen, sitting area, bedroom and bathroom, with another shower and toilet accessible from outside (great for getting the sand off before you head inside). The top floor has a nice deck on two sides with some ocean views. The lodging was clean and well kept with a few minor notes: no inside handle on the downstairs door, no toilet seat on the downstairs toilet, no towels or dish towels and each kitchen had one pot and one frying pan. We bought two kitchen knives and a broom which we left there and bath towels and hand towels. The beds were comfortable with sheets and no blankets. There were ceiling fans in each room and an air conditioner which we didn’t use. There is a nice hammock to set up inside or outside. The access to the beach is just across the street and the beach is located east of the kite schools with ample room to rig and launch. The house is at the end of the beach road so the walk to town is longer here than other rentals. There are mosquitoes here at dawn and dus and on nonwindy days. The upper level is much more comfortable because the slight breeze you catch keeps the bugs away. The refrigerator upstairs stopped cooling and a small dorm refrigerator was brought in for us to use. We left the large refrigerator unplugged for a few days and it seemed to work again. The internet is sometimes good, sometimes not, but this is rural Mexico. There are TVs in both apartments, with one English channel. The subscription ran out on the 20th and was restored on the 28th when Moises came to check on us. We came to kitesurf and the wind was lousy, but that is not a reflection of the property. Communication with Moises and Enrique (who stays at the property sometimes) was done with translate, not always perfect but it works.
