The space

The Common Room Project is a 48-bed boutique accommodation/social club that offers a social atmosphere, luxury bedding, and designer home comforts, along with friendly hosts who can show you a more authentic local insider view of Saigon.
For the solo traveler or a group of friends traveling together, we offer a beautifully designed super single bed in a shared room with ensuite bathroom. We believe sleep is divine so we offer all dorm guests 100% cotton hotel linen, feather pillow, feather duvet, and plush towel.
We have 4 spacious bespoke dormitory rooms each offering:
- 50sqm, en-suite bathroom, balcony, some with kitchenettes
- 9 to 14 beds depending on room design
- A/C, WiFi, Personal Lockers
Our beds and furniture are made from reclaimed wood and steel craftsmanship. For your stay, we have thoughtful details such as built-in universal power outlet in your personal locker, built-in nightstand/writing desk with your bunk bed, and individual reading light.

Guest access

As part of staying in our space, we offer all guests access to over 200sqm of shared communal space including chef's kitchen, rooftop bar and terrace, dining hall/workspace, and our garden courtyard that offers a haven from the hustle and bustle of the city. The kitchen is fully stocked with spices, pots/pans, plates and utensils, and purified drinking water - let us know if you are a foodie and want to cook, or just join one of our communal dinners.

The Common Room is a great place to stay for solo travelers. The rooms are clean and well-maintained and the staff are all accommodating. It sits at 2km away from District 1 which is a manageable walking distance (alternatively, Grab bike would come in handy). Just a warning: careful not to get confused with 80 Nguyen Trai in District 1. Gogglemaps sent me there when I copied the address from the airbnb listing. Better to look up 'The Common Room Project' to pinpoint this place. Overall I had a great stay. Would definitely come back.

I have a whale of a time staying in The Common Room. My 4 days of stay is a blast! Met a lot of new friends and the perfect way to do that is play "Card Against Humanity" in your stay during night tiime with your dormmates. Thanks Jess for the being a great host and answering all of my queries about everything, from transpo, tips, prices, tours etc. See you again when I get back in Saigon! I highly recommend this place.

We’re travelers just like you and have stayed in all sorts of accommodation from budget hostel dorms to luxurious 5 star hotels. For us, especially when travelling alone, there was always something incomplete about the overall experience. TCRP was created with all these incompleteness in mind.

We loved the comfort that hotels offer, yet we also loved the social elements of what a hostel provides. It’s the little things that make THE difference. So why not bring the two worlds together and create something in between?
