This house was great and David was a great host and easy to contact. The house it's self is beautiful and a great example of Nola architecture and style. It's also fully stocked with virtually everything you would need if you happen to forget any items at home. The beds were comfy and there was more than enough space for 11 of us to stay.

I wouldn't be able to say enough good things about the Byrnes House and our stay there. Everything was perfect and seamless. David was a lovely and generous host. The house was beautiful, clean and perfectly located for exploring. I have no complaints whatsoever, except that sometimes we found it hard to leave such a comfortable and wonderful home to get out into the city, Ha! Thank you so much!

We (three families, each with a teenage boy in tow) spent a wonderful week at this gorgeously maintained Garden District home. Located on a quiet street, less than a block away from the shops and restaurants on St. Charles, this beautifully appointed house offers a fabulous home base for exploring the Garden District, French Quarter, and other neighborhoods in the city. We walked back and forth to the French Quarter most days and rode the St. Charles streetcar to get to uptown, Treme, and beyond...public transportation was easy and so affordable. No false advertisement here--the photos and descriptions of the house accurately capture the elegant decor and historic charm. The living space was inviting and cozy, the bedrooms appointed with very comfortable beds (I have never slept so well away from home), the kitchen full of high-end appliances and any cooking utensil you could imagine, the bathrooms spotless and lovely. In addition, the host provides many of your basic needs--shampoos, deodorant, toothpaste, razors...you name it. It really was a perfect home away from home. We can't recommend David's amazing house enough!

David is a really terrific host- very responsive and his place is in a great location- walking distance to a nice little Garden District strip of restaurants and shops (quieter than the French District by a lot). The house is beautiful and spacious and has lots of nice spaces to relax both inside and out. Highly recommend this spot.

We had a great stay in this beautiful home! The kitchen was well-equipped with cooking equipment and condiments, spices, etc. The bathrooms were well-stocked with travel-sized toiletries and tons of towels. Everything was very clean and we felt very much at home in the space. David was incredibly friendly, coming by the house on our first night there and even bringing some toys by for our two-year-old to play with for the week. For a family with young children, there is not much for kids right in the neighborhood -- one small playground a 15-20 minute walk from the house, but you need to use the streetcar to access much else.

Highly recommend David's place. He went above and beyond as a host -- the house is exactly as advertised, David was very reachable throughout, and he was very amenable to our late check out time.

Our group of 7 had a wonderful stay at the Byrnes House. There was plenty of space for each of us in our well-appointed rooms and lots of common space on the first floor. The house was spotless! We were pleasantly surprised by how well-stocked the bathrooms were. Each one contains plenty of travel-sized amenities. We didn't do much cooking during our stay as there are so many great places to eat close by, however, the kitchen had every tool one might need. It also had a few basic things like sugar, tin foil, and plastic bags that come on handy. The house is situated in the picturesque Garden District. The surrounding neighborhood is very charming and walkable. St. Charles and Magazine St. have many shops and restaurants and are just a few blocks away. It's easy to hail an Uber or Lyft from here to the French Quarter or to take the streetcar, which is just a block away.
