Overall it was an okay stay. Lots of amenities and great location. However, cleanliness of the kitchen was an issue with the appearance of mold and cockroach droppings.

I stayed at Flora's Lane House for 6 nights. It wasn't very complicated to locate. I loved staying in her traditional lane house - and her neighbors were all very sweet and kind. Getting up in the morning and seeing everyone going about their day, doing household things and walking up and down the lane talking with one another was really nice. The location is centrally located on Chnagle Lu. Subway is located only a block away that will take to anywhere you want to go. There are a number of restaurants on the block and in the area, as well as cafe's. I had plenty of options. The room was clean and orderly, and looked as they did in the photos. I will only note that I am a 6 foot tall guy, so the bathroom was a bit of an experience - shower is small - but manageable. :-) All in all i loved this place and if im back in shanghai, I will be back.

Room is pretty like the one in photos, except for bathroom. It's much smaller than I expected/thought after seeing the photos. It doesn't matter though. Room is clean and tidy, it has the old Shanghai's style as well as modern features. Only the towel in bathroom seems like someone used it and never been washed, just left there. Location is good, thanks to shared bicycle, it's easy to get to the rest of downtown. Located in residential area, it will be a little noisy in the morning as the neighbors starts to get up. Another problem that really bothered us: it's really cold inside the house even after we turned on air-condition! It just didn't work, the wind came out is not so warm under the heating mode. In conclusion, the house is ok. But for this price with all of the fees, it could be better.

Loved our stay at Lane Loft! Flora gave us very accurate directions from the nearest Metro station, about 4min walk. The place was clean and nice, she also left some books on Shanghai. Flora speaks English and was quick to respond on Airbnb or (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) and very helpful the whole time! The location is really close to Nanjing road and it's easy to get just about anywhere using the Metro. Would definitely recommend!

Our experience staying in Flora's house was not great. We had to check out earlier and found other place. Maybe if it wasn't raining while we stayed, it could be better. The house is as described and the location is very good and convenient. But!!!!!!! 1. The ceiling is LEAKING! There were water dripping down from the ceiling while it was raining!!The floor and our luggages were all wet when we came back! We had to leave this place at a heavily raining night with all our wet luggages disappointingly. 2. CAN'T REACH OUT TO THE HOST! We were trying to talk to Flora about the leaking, but never get back from her till now. 3. It was really humid in the house. The bed sheet and blanket feel like WET. 4. Noise problem. You can hear clearly people talking and walking on the second floor. And the Dripping water! It is really irresponsible what the host did. Hope she could fix the ceiling at least. Not recommend especially when it is raining!

About me, I love travelling, cooking, reading and decorations. My favorite destination in China is Shangri-La as it is the most mystery and extraordinary place that I have been to.

I expect my guest to keep my place as I would-clean and tidy with a loving respect.
