Description

The space

This en-suite bedroom is simply and elegantly furnished with cupboard space, a queen size bed, mini bar and coffee facilities. The double glazed windows block out the sounds of the bustling city below. And if you want to look at the buzz without being in it, you can step out directly onto your balcony.

Guest access

Though your room is privately accessible and fully equipped for maximum independence, you are welcome to visit my living space upstairs and even have a glass of wine with me if I'm at home.

Interaction with guests

I keep a good balance between socializing and maintaining privacy. I usually go about my own things but if you're an interactive type, I'll happily share my knowledge of the City, go for a beer downstairs and if we really get on well, make a day of it.

The neighbourhood

A great part of Town: The center of the city where locals from all walks of life go about their business - contributing to the immense cultural diversity to which Cape Town prides itself. In daytime it is the trendy coffee shop area where one can find good food and tasty local beer while strolling through the street markets. After sunset, the city takes a second breath: Young people stream in and night-life begins. Pubs and clubs fill up and the city sounds change to music of all genres. And early morning, when the party stops, you look down from the balcony at the 2am traffic jamb with a satisfied smile: You didn't need to drive here. You don't need to leave here. You live here.

Getting around

Public transport is easy and readily accessible. Taxis frequent the city all the time and there are bus stops close to every 500 meters. And with Uber you will usually have a ride within two minutes of sending your request. If need be and also in case of emergency, I will happily assist with my car.

With the apartment being so high (on the 9th floor), it will unfortunately not be fair to bring pets.

Smoking is not permitted in the building however, you may smoke on your balcony.

Because this apartment is located in the trendiest part of town, I understand that you may have been out enjoying the night life. Important though to keep voice and noise levels down at night time.

If you're a very social guest, I don't generally mind if you bring a friend or visitor home. If you invite more than one visitor, for my own security, please arrange with me beforehand.

This part of Cape Town is extremely diverse. People of all cultures, races, religions and orientations live, work and travel here. I really appreciate guests to be friendly and accepting of all individuals just as you will be accepted by them.
