Two hours away from the city of Tarapoto this wooden cottage with outside decks and balconies sits right beside Laguna Azul, a beautiful and mysterious jungle lagoon. It is surrounded by cacau and other fruit trees in a private garden. Use of canoe
A private getaway space for two or three in the heart of Sauce located with many trees around the house. The small kitchen is fully equipped and the shower has hot water. Balconies and hammocks for relaxing. A traditional wooden canoe for exploring the lake is included.
Full access to this lakeside properiy which measures 20 x 50 meters (60ft x 150ft approx).

Interaction with guests
I live one block away and usually am available to assist guests in any way necessary.
Sauce is a unique destination. Some things to do in the area include, birdwatching, horseback riding, trips to waterfalls, hiking, boating, swimming, relaxing in a medicinal mud spa, 4-wheel motorbiking. A large swimming pool is located one block away in the Laguna Azul hotel, cost 5 soles. There are several restaurants withing easy walking distance.
Parking is available at the property.
Public and private taxis operate daily from Tarapoto to Sauce. Cost 15 soles. About 1 1/2 hours which includes crossing the river Huallaga by ferry.

Use of traditional dugout canoe is included in rental price
Sailboat rides available aboard the 10 meter (33ft) catamaran 'Estrella del Lago', cost is 60 soles per hour for 1 -4 persons, additional persons 10 soles per hour per person. This is the only sailing yacht in the Amazon basin that we know of and is especially good for bird watchers.
