This was a perfect house to accommodate our medium size group of 6-8 guests. The house was well maintained and clean and had a lovely Louisiana charm. Nancy and Dave were so nice and easily available to speak with us about any questions.

The house itself was great. It was spacious and comfortable for the four of us and would have still been fine had our other two guests been able to make it. The bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and the place was decorated well. There was no cable or satellite dish, so you have to hook your computer to the TV. We did not cook at all, so I can't speak for the kitchen other than there were some items left behind in the fridge. We still spent most of our time there and had a blast. The master bedroom did not have a top sheet on the bed, but we found one in the laundry closet. Could have used a few more hand towels and the patio was a little weedy and looked lonely. The big trash can outside was filled to the top, but we managed to jam our two bags in before I wheeled it to the curb. We drove to the ferry depot and parked all day for $10 and rode the ferry to and from the French Quarter both days. That worked out perfect. All in all, it was great and we were glad we rented this home. I don't want anyone to think it wasn't worthy, because it really was a nice place to stay.

Response from Nancy And Dave:
Randy, Thanks for the feedback. We are working with a new cleaning company so, more towels and lines are available to your guest. No need to pay for parking near the ferry, parking on the street is free.

Nancy and Dave's house is beautiful, located in a quiet residential neighborhood. The house was clean and well-equipped - there were even some food items in the fridge and pantry to get you started. The house was a 10-15 min walk from the Algiers Ferry, which placed you right in the middle of the French Quarter near lots of restaurants and bars. There was plenty of space, and a dishwasher and washer/dryer which came in very handy. I would highly recommend this location to those who are planning to stay in New Orleans for more than just a couple days.

We enjoyed 3 nights in the wonderful cottage. Cute area and more of a 'real experience' than downtown. Would definitely recommend.

Nancy and I have fallen in love with New Orleans. We first experienced New Orleans after volunteering with home repairs after the Katrina disaster. New Orleans is such a rich tapestry of culture and diversity. The people are warm and inspiring. We wanted to find a way to be part of it all.

We worked for 5 years to be able to purchase a house and are transitioning part of our life there. We wanted to have a place to live and continue volunteering and helping where we can.
We hope you enjoy your stay at our home and we welcome you! Please contact us anytime.

Sincerely
Nancy and Dave
