Description

The space

This is an enormous condo at 1200 square feet! Large windows facing south gives you sunlight all day long. Both bathrooms have showers so it's very convenient for 2-4 people to stay here. The kitchen has been newly renovated, and the hardwood floors are brand new as well. Hope you enjoy it!

Guest access

You can use the gym as well on the top floor (named 'T'), there is a sun deck on that floor too. Just keep in mind only one of the elevators goes there (far right one). If you get into the elevator and don't see the floor T, you'll have to press PH to go to Penthouse floor, exit and press the Up elevator button again to wait for that elevator - now press T!

The neighbourhood

There are lots of amazing restaurants, shops and cafes in Yorkville - you can exit the building from the south or north door, and just walk around Yorkville to explore. On Bloor Street you'll find lots of boutiques and cafes. A good French restaurant is across the street from the condo on Bloor St, called La Société - great Steak Frites! For take-out Sushi Inn is the best choice - it's on Cumberland directly north of your building.

There is a corner store at the corner of Hazelton Lane and Cumberland St - about a block from you, it's good for snacks, drinks etc. and it's open late.
Nearest supermarket, pharmacy and liquor store are all in the same place - about 2 blocks away in the basement of the Manulife Center (when you exit onto Bloor street, go left until you cross Bay St, you'll see the Manulife building across the Street, there is a Birks jewelry store at its base). There is a nice bookstore in this mall too, and a movie theatre. Whole Foods Market is about 3 blocks north of you on Avenue Road.

Getting around

The nearest subway station is Bay Street which you can access from the back of the building just behind the huge rock.

Other things to note

Please note we do on occasion need to show the unit to perspective tenants or other parties like appraisers or repair people. If this is necessary, we will want to make sure this doesn't disrupt your stay, and we will always provide at least 24 hour notice and do the showing at a reasonable time between 9am-8pm.

I cannot imagine how an airbnb could better this. The apartment itself, its location, its proximity to some really pleasant and vivacious restaurants and bars, the subway and to the centre of Toronto made it absolutely ideal for our one week stay. We (party of 3) stayed in Maryam's apartment for 10 nights. We enjoyed our stay very much. The photos represent the apartment adequately and realistically. Maryam was very helpful and accommodating. The apartment had all the conveniences we could ask for. In short: everything perfect.

Our keys were left with the concierge for our arrival. The apartment was as depicted in the photographs: spacious, modernly furnished, clean and tidy, very well equipped with all essentials (toiletries, cleaning materials, kitchenware). The apartment is situated in the heart of downtown within a short walking distance of all public transportation. I was dissatisfied with pre-arrival check because shower-heads in both bathrooms were clogged (the second bathroom was unusable because of this problem) and the jacuzzi was also clogged. the landlord was slow in dealing with these problems, which were not resolved by the time we left the apartment after a 17-night stay. Expressing his frustration in e-mails ( and not considering the frustration caused to those who paid) is no way of dealing with the problems described above. A plumber was sent about a week after we arrived, but his attempt to unclog shower-heads was blocked by the landlord, and the plumber was told to leave everything as was.
