The space

Our location in the National Forrest. 300 miles of mountain biking trails. We are an IMBA destination. 500 miles of hiking trails. Fly fishing on a wild and free river out our front door. The Aufderheide Scenic Byway. The iconic Office Covered Bridge, the longest covered bridge in Oregon.....and our building was the mill office AND the reason for the name.

Guest access

The entire building (minus our two living quarter rooms. 6400 square feet. The historic 1920's walk-in vault. Great room with comfy leather couches and TV with Dish and DVDs. Dining room with coffee in the AM and a varieties of teas available throughout the day. Utility room with refrigerator, freezer, washer and dryer. Secure garage for storing bicycles and other equipment. Patio with a view of the bridge, river and mountains. Private gazebo in our beautiful gardens.

Interaction with guests

We love to interact with our guests, or if they want privacy, we honor that as well. But once you arrive our guests usually are intrigued by the history on the items in the place...especially our vault and the connection to Lucille Ball...
To find out, you'll have to visit.

The lodge was amazing. Great location, especially if you're going to mountain bike. Dawn and Chad were more than helpful. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Already looking forward to my next stay here!

Dawn and Chad were very welcoming. We had a great time staying here. The place also has a little history which was interesting for us. They know a lot of places around and information about it is readily available. We will definitely come back! :)

Really cosy room in a very charming, rustic inn that's filled with character. Dawn and Chad were super friendly and engaging, and were able to share a lot about the history of the place... which was fascinating. Further to boot...... this inn is located right at the bottom of the best mountain trail in the world!!!
