Toby's place was in a great location. Near to lots of coffee shops, restaurants, pubs, less than 10 mins walk to Waverley station, and in a great location for visiting the Fringe Festival. It is a bit old, but as described, and value for money given the location and time of year. I think there was a bit of bad timing with some of the facilities not being available, but I'm sure this is not always the case. Toby was a very friendly and welcoming host. A comfortable place for our one night stay in Edinburgh.

Our stay at Toby's was exactly what we were after, somewhere basic to spend a single night in Edinburgh. The location was good, it was walking distance to both New and Old Town, and the room was as described. Toby and Salah were very friendly, and we had access to the kitchen and a late check out so we could store our bags which was helpful. We did have a slight hiccup with check-in, but it wasn't a big problem. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area!

Great hood with lots of good restaurants and quirky vintage / charity shops, also located very close to Royal Botanic garden and the parks if you're looking to do some run and walking. A bike shop is also steps away where you could rent a bike that makes a huge different when you want to see the city within the limited time. A great value for the money, strongly recommended!
