Somehow this cabin is both cozy and huge. It's made for great gatherings of friends and family with its big kitchen and giant table. The location is great for day trips and exploring the area. Her land is completely private and breathtaking, with amazing trails that she was very generous to let us explore both in foot and in our car. I absolutely loved all the new, crystal clear windows that showcased the woods throughout the house. Selden was very thoughtful in all her details and communication was perfect. Highly recommend!

Selden is a great host, she was waiting for us when we arrived at the cabin and patiently showed us around and answered our questions. She even kindly made us cinnamon rolls before we arrived. She probably would not do that every time though :) There was a gas grill and a fire pit outside with dry fire wood, lighter and everything you need to start and maintain a fire in the fire pit as well as in the little fireplace inside the house. The cabin was well-equipped and most consumables were provided in generous amounts in the cabin including towels, paper towels, toilet paper, aluminum foil, dish soap, flour, sugar, salt, spices, ice, and much more. The heating worked perfectly. No internet. The pictures in the posting were taken in the fall I think, it was even more beautiful in person and in the summer. There were mazes of wild flowers that we enjoyed exploring around the house. There was a small local fish market in Cedarville where we got white fish and smoked white fish to grill. In general it is a great base to stay and explore the area like the Sault Saint Marie, Mackinac island, etc.

Nice property, large house. A little out of the way, but if you wanted to stay in the UP, it's beautiful.

Seldon was a great host! She gave detailed directions to the cabin and met with us at arrival to give a thorough walkthrough of the cabin and property. I loved that the cabin was secluded and a great base for day trips. My family and I enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

It was better than expected. Cabin was like a home away from home. It was well-equipped. Even had a nice gas grill. The mowed walking trails were very enjoyable. The last night there, we made smores in the fire pit. The cabin was close to the places we wanted to visit.

I spend a good portion of my day outside. I like whatever Mother Nature gives to me each day. I like farming and have a flock of sheep. I like to cook. Family is very important. Not much of a traveler. Meeting new people and learning their story is always enlightening.
