The 'Lazy Labrador' is a beautiful 18th Century Rustic Farmhouse 10 -15 minutes from the centre of Samoens and Ski Lifts. Providing an authentic and relaxing mountain experience and a superb base for skiing / paragliding / trekking / mountain biking and much more... This property is represented by 'Mountain People' Ski Chalets in Samoens.
The nearest ski lift is Samoens (Grand Massif Express) : 10 - 15 minutes drive from the chalet. There is no ski bus - a car is essential.
The space
The Lazy Labrador is a unique Samoens rental property - complete with outdoor 'mazot' cabin, this charming 18 Century farmhouse has recently been renovated, while retaining all the rustic beauty of a traditional savoyard farmhouse. The property is located in a historic hamlet in Les Chosalets (between Chantemerle & La Rosiere), just a 10 minute drive from the heart of Samoens and the 'Grand Massif Express' (GME) ski lift.
The living space features a Norwegian 'Jotul' stove and is a snug spot for board games. Choose records from the vast music collection and enjoy atmospheric evenings with friends and family. The kitchen retains a beautiful original stone floor and is equipped with modern cooking equipment - the perfect setting for a post-ski fondue or tartiflette.
The Lazy Labrador can comfortably sleep 5 - 8 people with the use of the traditional outdoor cabin. There are 4 entirely unique bedrooms, including a master ensuite with adjoining wet room, its walls lined in Travertine stone. There are 2 further bedrooms within the house and a traditional 'mazot' across the road from the house, providing a romantic sleepy hideaway for couples or teenagers wanting to escape 'family time'!
There are no formal parking spaces, but plenty of room for 2 or 3 cars - a little snow clearing may be require in the Winter months!
If you are holidaying with another family, we also represent Chalet Coeur - a short walk up the road - that sleeps 10 - 13. Our guests occasionally rent both properties to host larger groups of friends and family!

The Lazy Labrador is a self-catered stay. You will have the entire house to yourself.
You will be greeted by the chalet's concierge / management team. They will contact you by email a few days before your arrival and provide a code for the key safe. They will also be your local contact during your stay.

Other things to note
Upon confirmation of your booking, we will request your email address in order to provide you with our booking formalities (short tenant contract etc) and useful house / local information. This does not affect Airbnb terms and conditions. We also require a copy of the principal tenant's passport along with a list of persons and ages who will be present during the stay.
Please note: You must always notify us of any pets ahead of your stay! Only 1 small/medium well-behaved and house trained dogs are welcome on the condition that they do not climb onto sofas, beds and other furniture. They must be kept off sofas / furniture and not allowed in bedrooms. All dog litter must be picked up from exterior spaces. A €100 surcharge will apply if bringing pets. Puppies are not permitted and pets must be supervised at all times.
Please be conscious about conserving water, especially during the summer months. We are not connected to mains water, all of our water comes from a spring at the top of the mountain and we share it with other houses in the village. Shower as much as you like but please don't leave the taps running or use it to fill a paddling pool.
No smoking inside the house. Smoking and vaping outside is permitted but please dispose of your cigarette butts safely and responsibly - do not throw butts on the grass or in garden spaces.
You are welcome to read the books while you are here but some have sentimental value so please don't take any away with you.
