The Teigen farmhouse has a garden with herbs, fruit trees and flowers. You can relax in the hammoc, have your meals ouside.

Interaction with guests

We can show you local hike trails, give you recommodations about interesting things to do. In summertime we have guided tours in the neighbourhood and at the Fruit Museum.

Getting around

Sørsidevegen is also called "The Romantic Road" and is a well used bike route. Have light on your bike, there are three dark tunnels between Kroken and Skjolden. When you come by car, take it easy on the narrow and winding road, enjoy the view and the lush landscape. The Urnes Ferry is crossing the fjord once an hour.

The house is perfectly located at the Fjord. The view is amazing. There is a lot to do: you can visit the Urnes stave church, drive to the jostedalsbreen glacier and make a glacier walk tour, hike Up to the top of Molden or the Feigumfossen. Valborg and her Family are very nice and helpful people. The communication was easy.

A beutiful and peaceful place. The house is more charming than the photos show, and the view is magnificent. Our stay was to short, we should definitivly stayed longer as Luster has alot to offer. Our host Valborgs hospitality was fantastic, and we felt truly welcome Even before we arrived.

This place was amazing and Valborg was such a sweet and welcoming person. The house has world-class views and even has a hammock to relax in when the sun is out. Toward the bottom of the road their is a little "shop" (more like a convenience store type fridge) that has Valborg's juices and jams. My girlfriend and i bought 6 juices and they were delicious! If you want a quiet diamond-in-the-rough then this is your place.

Both Valborg and her farmhouse are GREAT. The location with fjord views is outstanding and daytrips to the mountains/Lom, other locations within the Sognefjord area, and Gaupne and the glaciers are all easy. The farmhouse is cozy and quaint, With plenty of space for the entire family. The road is extremely quiet and kids will have great fun in the yard picking flowers, admiring the rams, searching for wild berries, and eating outdoors picnic style. Valborg is very helpful with all your needs or questions. Ideal for a quiet fjord getaway and a lovely place to relax and disconnect.

We had the pleasure to be the first short term guests in Valborgs beautiful farm house next to the Luster Fjord. And it really was a pleasure! The old house is lovely furnitured with a good mix of old and new furniture. The house has a big garden and you can see the beautiful nature from each room. The "check in" was easy, because Valborg lives very close and left us the key in the door. Later she welcomed us like friends and during our stay she told us a lot about their life in Kroken, gave us advices for trips and guided us through the small local food company in the neighbourhood where the locals from Kroken make delicious marmelade and juices. The house and Kroken were perfect to relax, enjoy the nature and were a good starting point for a day trip to the Jostedalsbreen. Thank you Valborg!!

Valborg User ProfileValborg is a superhost.

I'm a happy farmer, I love to dig in the soil, watch the plants grow, taste the fruits of my garden, be with the farm animals. I love to hike in the forest and mountains, see how people used the land for a living, clear trails, pick wild berries. I love to be with family and friends, inventing exciting things to do together. I love to use my hands to create nice and useful things, spinning, knitting, colouring yarn.
