Equipped with a kitchen, a large double bed handmade in the UK with Emma mattress and heated shower room, there is a library of books in the reading nook, a dining table and a large desk where you can write or use art materials to rekindle your creativity. Free WiFi throughout, as well as massage therapies and numerous courses bookable on site.

Being in nature can have beneficial nurturing effects, sit and listen to the woodland stream running into the nature pond. Wander into your private woods with tailored foraging information and a guide to woodland meditation or forest bathing (Shirin Yoku), so you can have a go anytime during your stay.

Near

The Wheatsheaf Pub is a 2 minute stroll away, with great food including breakfast. A short walk through wild flower fields and past historical canal sites is The Packhorse (Southstoke) or for a longer walk go along a bridle track to The Fox and Badger (Wellow).

The village of Combe Hay is picturesque with numerous footpaths to explore as well as a beautiful garden up the road, with open days and courses (Caisson Gardens).

Unique to the Vineyard

Choose from a range of relaxing, detoxing therapies and massage, performed in the cabin or on the deck by experienced practitioners.

Enjoy the ancient and meditative practice of a tea ceremony and tasting, derived from Korean and Chinese rituals with beautiful handmade crockery and a knowledgeable guide.

Learn or develop your photography skills with a (phone camera or a DSLR) on a 2:1 or 1:1 course on the vineyard site. Our local award winning photographer enjoys teaching with a particular focus on how photography can be a creative and meditative activity.

To add a special note to your arrival order glorious, fresh, locally grown flowers, from a bouquet to a full installation, perfect for a celebration.

You can also book a private guided tour of the vineyard with the owner.

For details on these options, please look on the vineyard website or contact us directly.

Exploring

The location is 10 minutes’ drive into Bath, and easy travel to Frome or Babbington House (20 minutes), Bradford upon Avon or a drive though Somerset villages a little further afield to Bruton, Hauser & Wirth or The Newt (45 minutes).

Our handbook picks out a selection of local villages we think are hidden gems for you to visit and our favourite local produce providers, restaurants and wine shops. Please do contact us if we can help with anything.

Gazing out at the shades of green, stretching to the sky, the sounds of nature - birds, water and the breeze through the trees.
It’s your time to relax into nature.

Guest access
Private parking on site. The drive is steep at first, but most people have no difficulty with it.

The Vineyard is a 10 minute taxi ride from Bath train station.

Exclusive use of the site, Cabin and woodland.

Other things to note
If you would like to try English wine or something different, be it white, red, sparkling, natural, pet nat or col fondo, we have links with many English vineyards and can suggest something for you.

Sadly we are sold out of Combe Hay wine, but we have exciting plans for vineyard experience days in the pipeline.

We run the vineyard on organic, biodynamic and regenerative principles and apply these to the products we use in the Cabin too, including our cleaning products. At the moment we are trying Purdy and Figg.

Business
From city lawyer to becoming enchanted by nature. I love working at the site and sharing it with people. We run courses including foraging, photography and tea ceremonies, that help people to see more of the wonders of the natural world around us. Our daughter has special needs so we understand the pressure on carers, this led us to host free respite courses with yoga and woodland meditation. I hope your stay is relaxing and refreshing.
