Although the hosts are very pleasant and friendly, if you want a good night's sleep, you may want to look elsewhere. Dogs and roosters making noise all night and trucks along with that starting at about 5am. Plus there is no curtain on the window so as soon as the sun rises you'…

Response from Firie Jill:
The noise level is part of the Philippine life style and certainly not lower within the city, unless one stays in a hotel and a good location. A curtain in a room with a powerful ceiling fan seems useless too, and there is always the option to change sleeping positions. As for the odor, it's in the "nose of the beholder" and during (or right after) a rainy season not much can be done. The toilet was cleaned, as I personally checked and the cleaning lady just finished after check in. Yes, the WiFi can be weak or next to none, which again is to be attributed to Philippine life style. The guest was asked every day how things were, and only the WiFi issue came up, which seems unfair. Being central or not can go either way, as one can choose the city or a rural location and being only 1km away from the city, but yet very near to a bus terminal, has it's own advantages.

This is an excellent budget option. Attractive, vaguely Mexican-style house, light and airy. Simple pleasant room with a fan. The whole upper floor is for guests and the outdoor kitchen area is a nice place to make and eat breakfast. Friendly, helpful and educated hosts who have …
