Spacious 3-bedroom modern family home close to Glenveagh National Park, famed for wild deer and golden eagles. 7 mins' drive from bustling market town & golden sandy Atlantic beaches. Donegal was voted Coolest Place On The Planet 2017 by National Geographic Magazine. On North-West section of Wild Atlantic Way. 15mins Dunfanaghy, restaurants including award-winning The Mill, Golf, horse-riding, surfing schools. Walk or cycle the newly opened old railway line on doorstep, through to Creeslough.
Poised between the mountains and the sea, this splendid area of the Donegal Gaeltacht is a 15 minute drive from Glenveagh National Park with it's castle and golden eagle colony, or under 10 minutes the other direction brings you to the spectacular Atlantic beaches of Falcarragh's Five Mile Strand and the Tory Island ferry departing from Magheroarty. Don't worry, we couldn't pronounce these names at first either!
All rooms and outbuildings apart from the office and attic which we will use as a store whilst away. Garden, swings, poly tunnel (it's nice to sit in even if you don't grow anything during your stay). Freeview TV, DVD and WiFi. There is a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer, and stair gates can be fitted, just let me know.

Other things to note
English translation of Jerome's review:
We were greeted with a fire in the stove and some food to cover the essentials (French wine, coffee, jam, etc.) and a full briefing of activities around. The house is completely in keeping with the description, spacious, very bright, comfortable and pleasant to live. We were 4, but were up to 7 for a week without bothering us. The house is situated in the middle of nature, with some remote neighbors on the edge of the Glenveagh nature park. The landscape is superb, peat bogs, Mount Muckish, and 2 km from the breathtaking beaches. The location is good for visiting all of Northern Ireland but we spent 3 weeks without using the car too much as the walks and landscapes are varied in the surroundings. Not to mention the pubs of the village ... The nearest village is 2 km away, and includes all necessary shops (bank, pharmacy, mini-market, etc.). We left very reluctantly after the traditional Irish farewells from Alan and his family. Again thank you Alan for your warm welcome and these 3 weeks we are not ready to forget.
Pets are fine except in the bedrooms and on furniture. There is half an acre of wild garden which can be closed off with gates for kids to play in away from the road. Garden use is at the guests' own responsibility.
I love travel: I think it's so important to pass on that gift to kids too.
I train software development in the City of London. Clients include top civil service and fintech companies, and nothing pleases me more than to escape back to Donegal, the mountains and the beaches.
The house can be rented during the summer hols, when we get away ourselves. We tried it once and it was a runaway success, and now we are delighted to offer it again. It's set on half an acre with mountain and sea views, conventional plus solar heating, a poly tunnel, and unlimited WiFi - like home, because it is! Experience Donegal, voted Coolest Place On The Planet 2017 by National Geographic Magazine, and explore the Irish Gaeltacht culture of the Wild Atlantic Way, with all the comfort and space of home with bags of space for the kids to run wild - ours do!
