From the first contact with Ana she made us feel welcome and ensured our holiday was as enjoyable as possible. The vila is absolutely wonderful, made from local stone and nestled perfectly into the hill side - with a pool and a view that defies what the photos can convey. We all truly enjoyed every moment in this wonderful place away from the hustle of every day life. Sitting under the star sky at night with the open fire cooking fresh fish, or just lying by the pool looking over the Dalmatian coast - a perfect getaway. Ana and her husband Goran made our stay, their hospitality can be stressed enough. Thoroughly recommended, perfect for kids and small groups. Book it!
This house is in a gorgeous location, close to beaches and local sites but all alone up the mountain with fantastic views. You can be one with nature and really get away from everything. The pool is large and I spent days reading by the pool in the shade of an almond tree with warm breezes watching boats pass by silently down below. The house is very clean, cozy, and the air conditioning works really well for the main bedroom and living area. The kitchen is small but it is not hard to prepare breakfasts and light meals. There is also an outdoor eating area, but we found it too hot except at the end of the day. We loved our week here and greatly appreciated the warm hospitality of Ana and Goran, our hosts.
We spend 6 days in this fantastic location. The house is 3,5 km from the main road up the mountainside and if you want to be yourselves with the most fantastic view over the sea and the mountains this is a paradise. The house is new, clean and beautifully decorated and the pool and pool area just fantastic. We had some questions during the stay and Ana helped us immediately.
We stayed at this small stonehouse "in the middle of nowhere" on the mountain with my family for 5 sunny days in July 2016. Our children (4y, 12y and 15y) are very critical, and they loved the place. The house is carefully built with great respect to the old way, but yet modern with dishwasher, tv and AC. The landscape from the mountains to the crystal clear turquoise sea is probably the most beautiful I've ever seen. Drinking your morning coffee or evening glass of wine truly charges your patteries for the busy working/city life. The pool with outside shower is luxerious. It was so cool to take a shower with the scenery. The only things we would develop for the future guests are renewing the sofas and frying pans. Those are far too old and don't give luxury nor modern impression. Otherwise the kitchen is very tiny, but works well for breakfasts and occational simple dinner cooking. We didn't use the grill outside. In the end of the summer or in the fall you might want to eat outside, so outside table & chairs might be a good idea, but we didn't need those. If you come with more people, note that one bedroom is separate and entrance is from "outside", and without AC. Perfect when travelling with two couples or maybe three generations or older kids than ours. Upstairs the AC is only in master bedroom, but we actually took the door away and channeled cool air to kids' room :) In July the temperature is 30-35 during the day, so nights are really warm. Recommendations what to do in the neighbourhood: When you have a car it is only 15min to Omis village which has nice history of pirates - facinating for the kids. We did rafting in Celine river - very good for beginners and beautiful landscape views. We also visited Makarska, but it was too touristic and basically only too full beaches. We would rather recommend Brela, Baskavoda or just the Lokva Ragoznica beach where our hosts Ana and Goran own the beach bar (don't mix with the camping beach which is not nice). We came from Brac island and recommend visiting its really beautiful villages. Also day trips available from Omis. You can also hike on the mountains. My husband walked to the chappel above Lokva Ragoznica. Nice 45min hike and great views. The path starts at the church. He also walked to the lower fortress Mirabella in Omis with our 4y old - so very doable for elderly and youngsters. Ana and his husband Goran are extremely helpful and nice. Ana speaks English and Goran German. They nicely offered us drinks at their beach bar and Goran explained the olive oil differences. Next to the stonehouse there are their chickens. Our children found it very nice to feed them and we collected fresh eggs in the morning. You can't hear them to the house, so no worries about them waking you up :)...
Empfehlung: mind. 1 Essen im Restaurant Bastion in Omis
