The flat was a good size and lovely and clean. It's in the process of being 'done up' - renovated, so you can see some of the original structure and the processes they've gone through to get the flat in the state where it's able to rent out. The fixtures and fitting are of a good quality and someone's obviously taken the time to think through what they are doing and is systematically car ringing that out. Fire alarms are present. Everything we needed was already in the flat; pots, pans, towels. The odd things we asked about they let us know and sorted out for us; extra keys internet connections. In the process they even sorted out things we'd forgotten to mention, like the nail in the floor board that I managed to find! :) The flat was calm and spacious. It provided us with a good base to return to each day and a space to hang out in when we were exhausted. We were met by Robbie - very late at night, who, despite the unearthly hour, kindly let us in. The area was 'colourful and loud'. Which is the way we like it. With tram stops round the corner, cafes and food shops in the same area too - really easy place to get what you been and travel to the city center with ease. Great place to stay. Would recommend and come back.

Our week long stay at the HALs apartment was so enjoyable. We were greeted very warmly by Ari & Matthais and felt at home immediately. The apartment was beautiful and comfortable with everything we needed - located in a great area, near transport: it was everything we wanted! we would highly recommend this apartment as it made our stay in Leipzig very easy ! Thank you!

My boyfriend and I had a great time. The flat was really clean and well-located. When we were there the Honarary Hotel had a project going on that we had chance to experience. It was great to take part of it both to discover the neighborhood and meet nice people. Thank you very much for you welcome.

We stayed at this place for three nights. Leipzig is a great city, though we had some trouble finding out, where the cool underground things where going on - I guess we have to visit again ;) The apartment was not exactly what we imagined. The decor is very sparse, and it makes the apartment seem a bit empty and under construction - we think it would be better for more people - but others might like it this way :) We were really cold while we stayed there - there is a oldfashioned fireplace - which is really charming - but we couldn't really get it to heat up the place (so bring your slippers or warm socks if you are staying in autumn or winter). Our arrival was late at night which made it a bit complicated. Sophia, who I was in contact with before getting there, wasn't there to open up and we had to get in contact with a neighbor which wasn't so easy. Luckily we met another guy living there, who was super hospitable and helped us get in contact. The place has a great location, it is cheaper than many other options in Leipzig and maybe under other circumstances it would be an okay choice. I am not sure I would book it again though. Best, Mille

My stay was brief but exactly what I needed. A great room with private bathroom, kitchen and living room. And HAL is a truly unique place, a bit of a living commune utopia! I have never stayed in a place like this, where community meets life meets work meets art meets cooking. If you are looking for a great room, and a unique experience in Leipzig, I definitely suggest this!

It was a very warm welcome, the place is un a great location, easy to get to town. An amazing project underway, we got a glimpse of it and enjoyed the private clean apt and it made the whole stay in Leipzig unique and very pleasant! Thanks and I would highly recommend it to others! Good luck in your endeavors!
