The Snow Goose Guesthouse was just magical - a perfect December retreat from the city! The air was crisp, the snow geese were AMAZING (thousands of them in the fields all around!), and the guesthouse was snug and warm to come back to. The kitchen is terrific - it has a rustic f…

Peter, so glad you enjoyed your stay! Re your comment on information about local things to do: I do have that info on my airbnb site, but will print it out and put it in the folder for easy access.

It is unfortunate that I have to give Margaret a very poor rating. Her spot in Mount Vernon is quite lovely, but the building and the unit both need a tremendous amount of work, and when repaired, it may be a good place for rental. Unfortunately, upon our arrival (which happened …

Very cute guest house. When the sun was shining you have a great view. This place is definitely quirky, we had to move some stuff around for our hands toddler. But over all great stay... especially once we figured out the hot water.

In the middle of farmland but easy access to towns. Snow geese nearly at your doorstep. Quiet and private.

This is a unique, cozy, rustic place. Comfortable bed, well-stocked kitchen, nice fireplace. Good location for touring the flowers.

Response from Margaret:
Sharon, thanks for your input. I changed the usage of the guesthouse (I live in it about half time now) and re-arranged things accordingly. You were my "guinea pigs". Clearly the iron is in the wrong place! The dresser marked "guests" has empty drawers and extra linens - including blankets. It appears I should make that more obvious. Glad you enjoyed the kitchen, and fireplace, Margaret
