We had a great stay at Karen's flat. The area was safe, and the view from the apartment was beautiful. The apartment complex was also peaceful. The apartment was clean and very neat, and has all the appliances one needs. As the description states, there is no television or internet provided. This is not a problem, as the surrounding areas have more than enough entertainment. However, if you do bring a laptop to watch some movies, be sure to bring enough DVD's. The closest DVD rental shop from Simon's Town is in Fish Hoek. The area of the apartments is close enough to Simon's Town, but far enough to not be part of the busy street, which was great for us. Be sure to spend enough time in Simon's Town, Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek & Cape Point. This is such a stunning part of South Africa, and there is enough to explore. Also, the Monocle & Mermaid restaurant in Simon's Town is the best place for great coffee & good food. Karen was a wonderful host, she followed up on our arrival, and ensured that we were happily set up in the apartment. Sue, her upstairs neighbor, provided us with the keys and the know about in the apartment. Sue was so friendly, and super patient (we got stuck in traffic on our way) and was always willing to be of assistance (even at 05:30 in the morning). Karen left us with some informative booklets for activities in the surrounding areas. She also informed us during our stay about the Simon's Town Ghost Walk, which was a highlight in our stay. Karen was always helpful and friendly, making this visit feel extra special. We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wants a peaceful vacation with breathtaking views.
