A cozy, knotty pine-panelled cottage that is comfortable and nostalgic. 100 feet of lakefront, an all sports lake with great fishing and quiet "no wake" time for boats from 7:30pm to 11am. The double level deck, kayaks, bikes and a firepit make this a great family spot.

Bring your own sheets and towels--plenty of blankets and pillows there!

Minimum rental 7 days between Mrmorial Day and Labor Day.

The space

A bit on the rustic side, but comfortable. There is a large yard with many trees and a large lakefront to enjoy swimming, relaxing, and yard games.

Other things to note

Amish shops and foods nearby. Clare is a cute town with restaurants and shops, and is about 15 miles away. Mt Pleasant is a larger town about 30 minutes away, with many larger stores and a gambling casino.

The town of Lake George is 2 miles away, and has a bar/restaurant, several convenience stores, a hardware store and laundrymat.

Our stay at Elizabeth’s cabin was exactly what the Dr. ordered. Elizabeth very helpful and responded to our question and requests immediately. the neighbors all very pleasant. Memories of time spent in the Harrison area as children, year ago, came flooding back. The cabin was cozy old school quaint and provided us with everything we needed. The bi-level deck over looking the lake was amazing, not to mention the bonfire pit right down by the lake. We fished everyday and my brother caught the largest large mouth bass of his life. we made great memories here. I see a return visit in our future. Thank you Elizabeth for sharing your cabin.

I know that no one wants to be on a clock on their vacation. However, don't slept in and miss the quiet and calming mornings sitting on the deck. The lake is like a sheet of glass as the sun rises and best of all, the loons call can be heard in the distance.

It was very organized, clean, and cozy. The wifi was working really well, there were movies for us to watch, books, and speakers provided. There were also plenty of cleaning tools and cooking implements. The patio was spacious; there are seats and a table to sit at. There are also toys, playing cards, etc. for us to use. I believe this is the best place to occupy if you are looking for somewhere to stay around Lake George. ❤️️

Very well organized for arrival and efficiency! Loved our stay, highly recommend! Do be warned that if you have allergies to musty places you may struggle a little. Was not an issue for anyone but me, so not a big deal.

The cottage was clean, cozy and comfortable. The view was beautiful! The lake was warm. We did not fishing, but heard it was just ok. The lake is very long and narrow and nice for speed boating. It's only a couple miles from the Swiss Inn(which was mediocre food), groceries, boat launch and the Dollar General. Other than limited parking, the place was perfect for our needs.

I love being on the water! I keep my cottage the way I want it to be when I am there. Comfortable and easy, and well stocked (but not gourmet--it's still a cottage!) When I travel, I like to immerse myself in the culture as much as I can. I like to find non-touristy places …
