really enjoyed our stay at Samuel's place. the flat is well located in St Roch. with loads of nice restaurants around if you dont want to go to the centre. its about 20min walk to go to the old town which is really handy. the flat itself was as described and very clean and quiet. Really appreciated the little guide the host has put together! would definitely recommend the stay.

Love the St. Roch area! It's the perfect apartment for a couple or one person. Very comfy bed. Very easy check in and out too!

This is a generally positive review because we loved the apartment and the area, but we didn't feel that the listing communicated certain things clearly. The good: Samuel responds to texts very quickly. The area is fantastic, especially the dining and shopping on Rue Saint-Joseph Est, which is just a few feet away. We had a great Cambodian dinner at Bati Bassak and excellent make-your-own poutine at Poutineville, which are both on the street. We may like St. Roch as much as the old town, which is a 20-minute walk. Uber is also available, of course, if you don't feel like walking. The apartment was great. We didn't cook, but the utensils were there. Wi-fi worked great. The bathroom has an excellent shower with multi-directional sprays, and the washer/dryer worked well. The bedroom doesn't have a window or A/C, but Quebec was not too hot when we visited in August, so it really was fine for us. If you end up getting a rare heatwave, maybe you'd feel differently. The bed and the floor mattress--there is one bed; a floor mattress is the second bed in the listing--were both comfortable. I hesitate to give the apartment listing a 100% recommendation because I didn't find the listing to be entirely accurate. My biggest problem was that check-in time was not flexible, although the listing states that it is. Samuel asked us when we planned to arrive, and I answered between 4 and 6 pm. He asked that we arrive at 6 because his neighbor would be letting us in and wouldn't be home before then. So we made plans to stay in Montreal longer than anticipated (we were driving from there) and said we'd check in between 6 and 7. Then Samuel texted that we should make it 7 because the neighbor wouldn't be available until then. Second, although my daughter found the floor mattress to be very comfortable, the listing should spell out that it's a very comfortable mattress, rather than calling it a bed.

This is a cute little apartment in a decent part of town. It's a 20-minute walk to the old city. Lots of nice shops and restaurants close by. It's not fancy but it's a good value for your money. Be warned: the apartment can get a little stuffy as there's no air conditioning.

This place was fine but in summer without ac not having any windows in the bedroom to open was not the best.
