The period property was renovated recently and many original features are preserved. There is a spacious L-shaped open plan living, dining, kitchen, 2 comfortable bedrooms and a garden area with seating. A supermarket can be found around 5 minutes walk away. It is 6 minutes walk to Kendal train station where direct trains to Manchester Airport and Windermere can be accessed as well as regular connections to Oxenholme.

The space

There is a modern bathroom with a shower and separate small bath. The windows are all new and double glazed sash windows.

Guest access

The apartment is fully self contained. There are 2 steps up to the front door and one step from the vestibule into the hallway. There are wooden floors throughout.
Check-in is usually 3.30pm , check-out at 10.30am. If alternative times are needed, please ask and I can try to accomodate these.

Interaction with guests

Kendal train station is approximately 6 minutes walk away. A taxi from Oxenholme, which is on the main line between London and Edinburgh/Glasgow will cost around £10.

Other things to note

The next pub is around 5 minutes walk, where meals are also served, or walk another 10 minutes to the outskirts of town to find some nice restaurants. It's around 15 minutes walk into Kendal town centre where there are shops, museums, cinema, pubs and restaurants . On street parking in the residential area around the flat is free of charge and no permits are needed. You will usually be able to park within 1 minutes walk away.
There is an enclosed rear garden.

I stayed at Trisha's place for 3 nights with my wife and 2 young boys and we absolutely loved the spacious house and made full use of the well stocked kitchen. Trisha was a great host and responsive over emails. Great stay as the base camp for our forays in the Lake District.
