The Old Bear Inn, now a private residence, is situated on the old main road between Cirencester and Cheltenham which follows the course of the river Churn from which Cirencester takes its name.

The Bear has been providing lodgings for weary travelers since 1825. Now officially called The Old Bear Inn, the present owners are proud to be able to continue this tradition with two exclusive rooms available for Bed and Breakfast by prior appointment.
The property is spacious and light, with period features that include fireplaces in the dining and drawing room and antique furniture in every room. There are many places to relax in the spacious garden in the summer or indoors in the show rooms. The B and B rooms have comfortable chairs, television and wireless internet and are newly refurbished throughout. The owners will be on hand throughout your stay to make sure you have everything you need.
We have 2 large bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and dressing areas for let, but please note that each room has to be booked separately. Both rooms are furnished with a mixture of antiques and modern furniture and paintings. One room has a super-king size bed and the other a kingsize. Each room has a compfortable sitting area, TV , DVD and tea/coffee making facilities. In the bathrooms you will find lovely bath towels and robes plus luxury amenities. The whole property has free Wi-Fi.
Included in the room rate is a full English Breakfast, which is served in the dining room, at a time convenient to guests.
Having been residents of this area for more than forty years, we believe we have a very comprehensive knowledge of the area and it's attractions, which we a very happy to share with our guests. Apart from outstanding natural beauty the Cotswolds have a lot to offer. Beautiful walks, pretty quint villages, superb country pubs and gardens. Bath, Blenheim Palace, Oxford and much more, is easily within reach for a day trip.
