Turquoise room@Trulli Saurizzi is a charming bedroom with private bathroom in a detached lamia 10m away from the main house: a 19th century old trullo with a magnificent 180° seaview on the Adriatic Sea. A similar room is also available if you are 4.
The trullo, built in the 19th century only with stones cut by hand and laid dry by the master trullari (the craftsmen of that century), offers today, after restoration, a living area of over 150 m² and can accommodate up to 6 people.
The trullo opens onto a very large piazzale (yard) of 150 m² paved with ancient, authentic chianche (pron. kianke, old stone slabs in the Apulian dialect), facing the Adriatic Sea.
From this impressive terrace, “suspended" over endless fields of century old olive trees that surround Casa Saurizzi, your eyes will glide over the rooftops of Fasano, which will appear in the distance, and on to the blue of the Adriatic Sea, that you could almost touch with a finger.
Yet Casa Saurizzi is only 2 km away from the town of Fasano and less than 5 km from the Roman excavations of Egnatia, from Savelletri, and from the sea and its beaches.
Casa Saurizzi has an L – shaped form with two entrances to the trullo :
the main one takes you to the main lounge (with fire place) and dining room, the other one (the service entrance) gives you access to the kitchen.
From the lounge you can access all the other rooms of the trullo moving from one cone to the next through a series of stone arches. So, the first two cones will take you to the kitchen, the third will conduct you – through a narrow corridor – to the bathroom, the fourth is the studio and the last two cones host the dressing room and the main bedroom.
A detached lamia – only 10 meters away from the house – that was once used as a barn, has now been transformed into two charming, independent bedrooms (Carob and Turquoise).
In front of both bedrooms there is a small garden, where you will find an ideal quiet spot to sit and fantasize, in the shade of trees and a high wall of untouched stone, you will be overwhelmed by the scent of thyme.
At the other end of the house another small garden « hides » an orchard with a wild lemon tree.
Restored with much love and passion by its owners, Casa Saurizzi strikes you for its rustic elegance whilst still offering all the comfort of a modern house.
Casa Saurizzi can comfortably accommodate six people in the main bedroom of the trullo and in the two bedrooms of the detached lamia.
All the beds are double beds, with Italian standard measures : 160x190cm.
All bedrooms have their independent bathrooms.
All bathrooms are equipped with shower, washbasin, WC, bidet, heated towel radiator.
Thanks to the thick stone walls of the trulli, which are designed to keep the house cool in the summer and warm in the winter, there is no air-conditioning in the main house, however the two bedrooms in the detached lamia (Tourquoise & Carrob) have air-conditioning.

We also want to draw your attention to recurring drought conditions affecting Apulia during the summer season which make the entire Region particularly vulnerable to fire.

Please do not throw them to the ground or leave them behind you and do whatever is necessary for their correct disposal.
