I found Andrew to be rather fussy person. His house was very clean and tidy but he seemed so concerned about theft that he slept in the living room instead of the bedroom. My stay was spoiled by a rather paranoid view of safety. He should try to be more relaxed.

Response from Andrew:
Unfortunately for reader's of Loz's review, it is totally skewed. His reservation had to be cancelled mid stay and his portrayal of me and the negative review stems from my having to take that action for my own piece of mind. Airbnb has granted me a Super Host designation for a reason! But, my home is my home and I have to ensure my safety. I will not go in to reasons why I had to cancel Loz's stay while he was here, but I am sure any host would have done the same.

This was a great last minute reservation as I needed an affordable place to stay for a long period of time (6 days) for a job orientation. This space got me close to public transit that was necessary for me to use and took me to the UofA easily (The 9). Andrew (the host) was very…

$50.00 for a 9x9 room a night. and only one bathroom for 3+ people.

Response from Andrew:
Thank you for your "review." Let me clarify this so that future guests are not misled by your comment. First, the $50 per night is the rate during the Gem & Mineral Show from end of Feb to 2/12. The local roadside motels, which are not as clean, have shady characters hanging around the area and the going rates for those places during the G&M Show are $80+. So you are already getting a good deal in a spotless home as you can see with my previous reviews. Second, you would have, if you read the description that along with your room, there is an additional bedroom I have listed on Airbnb that has a double bed. So yes, you would be subject to a wait if the bathroom was currently occupied by other Airbnb Guests. This is clearly stated in the listing "Shared Bathroom." Next, besides myself, there was ONE other guest in the next bedroom, and I always waited to use the bathroom before you got up or well after you have gone to sleep, or even when you left the house, so I am not sure where you got the 3+ from. Next, the room is not 9 x 9, it is 10x12, please make sure you are accurate if you are going to use measurements to comment on the room. I do think that if all these are concerns, remember, you are staying in someones home, and if I had many more comments/feedback like yours, then I would make changes. But, you are the only one in three years that has made such comment, so I will not let it bother me further. I do suggest that if you cannot embrace the Airbnb Culture with various Hosts, that you seek out a Hotel, Motel or Resort on your next trip so that you have more space and the bathroom to yourself. Of course I do appreciate the fact that you went outside to smoke, but it does trail in and the bedroom has an odor or smoke in it right now.
