This large, bright, cozy, well equipped, and air conditioned room, with private entrance and balcony, offers stunning views of the San Juan Islands and an active boatyard from your own balcony. A lovely retreat from the hustle & bustle. It is in the home of a noted glass artist, so is well furnished and includes examples of both glass and other art.
(Adjoining private room available for larger parties for an additional fee.)

The space
This cozy, comfortably furnished and very private room, is on the second floor (first floor, European), i.e., one flight of stairs.) It has it's own private entrance outside, just steps from your parking space. It is located midway between the center of Anacortes and the Washington State Ferry Terminal; five minutes drive to each. There is an adjoining private room, for up to two guests, with it's own bathroom, available for an additional fee, just across the hall if traveling with family or with another couple.

The owners are friendly retirees, happy to give you all the information you wish about our town and touring the area. If you want privacy, however, there is no need to see us except when getting your keys/lock code.

The room is well-appointed by Annette with her stained glass pieces and other art, and has been recently renovated with new furniture and carpeting. Air conditioning has also been recently installed in the room so guests can independently choose their own level of comfort. A large picture window affords lots of light and a stunning view of the Guemes Channel and the San Juan Islands beyond. A smaller window and two skylights give additional light to this bright room. On clear nights one can see the lights of the Grouse Mountain Ski Resort behind Vancouver, British Columbia. A small deck/balcony with a small table and chairs opens off the room, so you can have a drink while you see even more of the Islands and view a picturesque shipyard/marina below. You can also see the Washington State Ferry terminal from the balcony and watch the ferries come and go, as well as watch large ships glide up and down the Channel. You know it must be a stunning view - the late Burl Ives' home is two doors down.

The room is available for two nights minimum or longer. It is on the second (first floor European) floor with its own private entrance from outside. It has its own bathroom with shower, and has a king-size bed. The room is equipped with a small refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave oven for limited cooking, as well as Direct hi-def TV, DVD player, and wireless WIFI Internet access. You can park off-street within feet of your entrance.

The second private room (Additional fee) is furnished with a queen sized bed, and has it's own bathroom with shower. It does not have a refrigerator, cooking facilities, or a TV, nor does it have the view afforded from the other room. We only rent this room to family groups or couples travelling together.

Sorry, no pets.

The base price is $100/night year round for the guest room with balcony/view. Weekly (seven nights) discount is 10%. The second private room is $60/night for up to two guests.
