About this listing
Part of a block of 14, with a mix of 2 bedroom apts & studios. We love having a whole building to ourselves, as we can accommodate *LARGER GROUPS* occupying a whole floor, or keep an area of the building quieter for business travelers and families.
A strikingly clever layout in this small and perfectly formed studio. It sleeps two on a sofa bed, with full kitchen, dining area, separate bathroom and super cool furnishings.
In terms of the space our stylish studio is the perfect place to make your own. The Nido range gives our open plan living area that something special. Our kitchen lets you create something scrummy with everything you might need, which you can then enjoy in our dining area.
The convenient sofa bed in the living room can be set up before your arrival if you require.
Our contemporary private bathroom has a jet shower, to help wash your cares away.
This pad is part of a block of 14, with a mix of two bedroom apartments and studios. We love having a whole building to ourselves, as we can accommodate larger groups occupying a whole floor, or keep an area of the building quieter for business travellers and families.
For larger groups who want to share a floor please also take a look at apartment 4 and 6.
The apartments are brand new and we have created a space we know you will love, whatever your travelling needs.
The main entrance has security codes for access. Every guest will be given them in advance of their stay.
The apartment is a 14 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly train station, although the Northern Quarter has some smaller winding streets, so we would recommend you bobbing the postcode into your phone on route, or jumping in a cab until you become more familiar with the area. If you set off on foot and need to ask anyone for help, we are on Edge Street opposite Yard and Coop and Ziferblat in the Northern Quarter.
Interaction with guests
As hosts we will give you the space you need to enjoy your trip. That said, we are always on-hand before you visit or during your stay.
We have a team waiting in the wings to make every aspect of your visit comfortable, as we want all guests to love the city as much as we do. Just get in touch with a member of our Guest Relations team, if you have any questions.
This apartment is on one of the coolest streets in the vibrant and exciting community that is the Northern Quarter.
The Northern Quarter is famed for its independent shops and boutiques, where you can pick up designer or retro clothes, rare vinyl’s, collectable comics, unusual furniture and superb art. Today it is equally famed for its social scene, with the beautiful restaurants, cool bars, quirky coffee shops and city spas, pulling many young professionals to live in the beautiful old buildings that line the streets.
The joy of the Northern Quarter is that it provides a central base to explore the whole of the city and beyond.
You will find lots of shops and the central hub of shopping in the Arndale centre. Or if you are after something a bit more unconventional, check out Afflecks Palace an “emporium of eclecticism” which is a 5 minute walk away. For designer shops head to Selfridges, Harvey Nichols or Spinningfields.
Here are a few of our favourite places in the city -
To eat and drink
- Cottonopolis - A cool Asian inspired restaurant and bar
- Tariff and Dale - Cool and chilled bar upstairs and yummy restaurant downstairs
- Turtle Bay - A Caribbean restaurant with amazing vibes and equally amazing food
- Rosylee's - A great chilled bar (that does amazing afternoon tea and drinks)
- Evelyn's Cafe & Bar – Chic surroundings with sophisticated Asian inspired food, serving breakfast lunch or dinner all with big bold flavours
- Home Sweet Home – Are you looking for breakfast, brunches, cakes and lunches with comfort food that will make you drool
- Foundation Coffee House – The design-led interiors of this coffee house creates a great space for a quick bite or caffeine fix
- Takk – Considered a café and creative space that pays homage to all things Scandinavian, it’s people and their love for the coffee bean
Or if you would prefer to eat in, you can stock up at one of the local supermarkets, with a Tesco express and a Co-op a 4 minute walk away on Church Street. Or you could pop in to the Arndale after some shopping at the very popular Market Street.
New to Oxford Road is the exciting culture centre “Home”. A short 10 minute cab ride, or if the weather is nice a 17 minute walk. Here you can catch a film, see a play and look at the exhibitions. If it’s a rainy day there is a large cinema complex in the Printworks just a 5 minute walk away.
If you need a place to work or fancy something a bit different, then check out Ziferblat, just opposite from the apartment. Here you simply pay for your time and help yourself to all the treats you can eat and the tea (or coffee) is on tap. It is set up with desk space, old school meeting rooms or comfy lounge chairs. They are a super friendly bunch of people. (Open from 10am-10pm).
If you would like any other recommendations, maybe a spa or special treat restaurant with a tasting menu and a wine pairing, just get in touch – we love talking about all of the wonderful places Manchester has to offer.
The apartment is super close to all of the major transport links. It takes 14 minutes to walk from Manchester Piccadilly, an easy walk, unless you have heavy luggage and need to jump in a cab.
Free bus service – Outside Piccadilly Station on Station Approach is the bus stops for all the free city centre buses. They cover a huge area, they are reliable and regular and best of all they are free, so use them!
Buses – Buses can be caught from Piccadilly gardens.
Tram – Trams can also be caught from Piccadilly gardens.
Taxis – 5 minutes away just outside a large department store called Debenhams is a taxi rank allowing you to get out and about quickly if you’re in a rush, or to prevent a drenching in the rain if heading to another part of town.
Manchester is not a big place and you can walk to the other side of the City in 20mins, unless taking a leisurely pace, which can be quicker than a cab in rush hour.
The Trafford Centre – Hop on the X50 bus from Piccadilly Gardens.
Etihad Stadium – The journey time from Piccadilly is less than 10 minutes. On event days, trams run to/from the Stadium stop every 6 minutes.
Other things to note
There are 2 car parks in very close proximity and several more you can freely choose.
There is a car park on Tib Street, which is about a 5 minute walk away. There is also a large multi storey car park on Church Street also about a 5 minute walk away.
Although depending on what your plans are if you are driving around Manchester get in touch and we will do our best to help with suggestions.
Whilst not a fan of too many rules, we do ask is that you are respectful to both your neighbours and to our apartment.
The issue of ‘noise’ and ‘parties’ is a serious one and can negatively impact the stay of fellow guests, so we work very hard to prevent it and tackle it head on. All guests will be given the number of a local security firm, who already carry out regular nightly patrols. If they are called to your apartment due to a disturbance the fee for this will be deducted from your security deposit, persistent noise and issues could result in you being asked to leave. We have never yet had to do this, as people respect the beautiful homes we have created, so please in turn respect our Policy of ‘no parties’ and keep the noise to a minimum after 9 pm on a week night and after 11pm on weekends.
Instead, please do enjoy the city to party and come home when ready to drop and enjoy a good (if not short) night’s sleep. We can recommend Home Sweet Home over the road for your ‘kill me or cure me’ breakfast.
The following is also requested with a massive ‘please’ and ‘thank you’!
- If you could kindly load and switch on the dishwasher before you check out, that would be a great help.
- The larger bins are located in the basement if you have high volumes of rubbish. Please use them and do not let rubbish pile up inside, or leave it outside of the apartment/in the communal areas.
- NO SMOKING in any apartment or communal area.
